How can I stop feeling stressed?
How can I get out of fight or flight mode?
How can I feel fully rested?
How can I feel less stressed?
During the last few years, many have experienced prolonged stress which has disrupted their nervous system by being in continuous fight or flight mode. This could be with feelings of anxiety and fear or anger and judgement. Everybody manifests prolonged stress in different ways, but whatever the reaction, the key is to come out of the viscous cycle and take our nervous system back to a state of balance. Because our nervous system has been battered, the only way we can get back to a state of balance is through “profound rest”.
During our conversation, Cornelius and Paris will talk to us about the different ways we can deeply rest and which practices they cover on their retreat at Broughton Sanctuary in Skipton, North Yorkshire.
Cornelius has studied the mind, meditation and Eastern philosophy for over 25 years and is regarded as one of the world’s leading mind and meditation experts. His talks and retreats are well-known for his ability to affect change in people and he has a considerable amount experience working with people who suffer with a wide variety of physical and emotional challenges as well as those who wish to discover a more relaxed, enlightened and insightful approach to life. Paris is co founder of Avalon Wellbeing Centre in Yorkshire and works with movement and sound to help people connect with their innate wisdom and heart & mind coherence.
