Yeah I personally love the party-dialogue type thing they did in the early years far better than just one of the members saying some stuff to the audience.
This performance, the John Stewart Show, and Conan are the only good well mixed recordings we have of this fantastic song from the band in their all time prime. That makes me sad.
Haha I got in from the boozer that friday night, turned on the box and caught this, a few weeks later saw them at Manchester Academy, fucking tops, debut album was something else.
I noticed Brian played the ending lead melody after something went wrong with rivers. I think it was more of a backup positions switching thing. I think it’s those glasses rivers were wearing making him unable to see what notes he’s playing. Which is why he fucked up that solo
don't know why you got so many thumbs down for that. it's clearly a fake crowd. look at them dance during the outro. good performance from weezer though. watched a video from august 1994 before, and only rivers' haircut went well. matt and brian's both look crap.
I like how Matt says "all you people are paid to do this" at 0:35
"All you people are payed to do this" Lmfao!
Gotta love Matt Sharp.
I LOVE the "inaudible" beginnings. Amazing EVERY TIME!!! So much better than when Rivers just talks to the crowd. I LOVE WEEZER!!! =w=

Just as I was thinking how lame the crowd is Matt Sharp comes in. I love Matt.
Holy crap this is the trippiest video ever
Weezer had such a more raw sound in the 90's and I love love it!

That's how a TV show is done! With the crowd dancing, and lots of action. And without any violence or damage, either, very nice.
God I love Brits. Much love from the states
Weezer is American...
@@BackToBackJames they meant the crowd
I never realized how great their drummer was
lmao can rivers see anything?
Dex That might've been what screwed up his solo LOL
OH GOTT! I like this song so much... the part after the chorus where only the 2nd guitarrist sings oh god...
Brian?
Haha I got in from the boozer that friday night, turned on the box and caught this, a few weeks later saw them at Manchester Academy, fucking tops, debut album was something else.

@Silverfucked He had some major stage fright in the early days.

I noticed Brian played the ending lead melody after something went wrong with rivers. I think it was more of a backup positions switching thing. I think it’s those glasses rivers were wearing making him unable to see what notes he’s playing. Which is why he fucked up that solo
Good thing for man that it was written, though!
He must REALLY like Weezer!
