Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit (The Word 1991 - full version)

  • I've edited together a complete version of this Nirvana performance, the intro is from the original broadcast which was abruptly cut short at the time.
    The main part is from a repeated version from a best of The Word show which unfortunately had the beginning missing.

    • @Lydianon
      @Lydianon Před 5 lety +7

      It's been so long, I don't recall the mention of Freddie Mercury. In his letter. Roger Taylor was my favorite, he was so damn good looking Lol. My first album I ever owned was Queens first record. It's awesome, maybe not quite as flamboyant as later on...(I still miss the 90's with an ache that hurts more every day. It was the best days of my life. The WA music scene was fun, kinda seemed small since everyone knew each other then. My bf and I did promoting, (bringing bands into town & advertising the show) And we felt kinda insulated for a while doing our own thing, being rebellious as kids are until the whole fucking world started wearing flannel & boots, not brushing their hair & trying to be ironic. Lol The stupidest thing ever is we wore thrift store stuff cuz it's cheap & fun & then fashion magazines adopted it, even haute couture."How to make your new clothes Look old". "How to put some greasy crap in your freshly washed hair so you can Look like you haven't washed it". People used to stop me on the street to ask me where I got my clothes. Lol, umm at Value Village. 80's fashion was so good awful I couldn't even find anything new that I liked. And the hair. And the music... I started listening to Oldies stations. And Blues. And Classical (watch Amadeus! Mozart was the punk rock of classical!) and jazz era swing. Do yourself a favor- check out Cab Calloway, he's alot of fun to listen to.
      Anyway...
      Getting old sucks. When most everyone you looked up to and admired is dead. When you don't hardly recognize the old person in the mirror. Thing is-- you are still the same person inside (except you don't tolerate stupidity anymore Lol) And if you choose not to have kids it's like you never really had a good reason to grow up. I fully expected that at my age I'd have turned into a sweet little old lady, but fuck I haven't changed yet so I probably won't...
