Proper wild west television. I miss these days.
What a time to be alive. God I miss the early 90s.
I so miss this show many thanks for posting 👍👍👍
Now I can show my teenage kids what tv use to be like in the good old days
if you could go back to 1991 and do it all again , would you? my god the fisher king i saw that on a ferry from Wexford to le havre.. i dont know if i can deal with this trip to 31 years ago its making me full of the sweetest but the saddest longing.. omg enya
This is the most gen x thing ever
30 years... Jeeeeezz
You didn't have to look too closely in that Baddiel and Newman interview to see the contempt they had for Terry Christian (and vice versa, arguably).
And they had to sit there for the whole hour!
What a way to end a 'bland programme', with Nirvana. Must be one of the very few live tv shows where they performed the song properly without sarcastically changing the lyrics.
omg i forgot what al murray looked like when he was young with hair and not being the pub landlord
Blimey. Had a nosey at the end for Nirvana, did not expect to see Al Murray's name scroll across the bottom there! Two legendary debuts on the same night.
Al Murray and legendary??? Maybe in terms of utter banality.
Ah... I see why I ended up getting recommended this with watching "History today" clips constantly
You couldn’t beat the Word , memories of Shaun Ryder going on wrecked & Oliver reed , always the best bands though the Charlatans, Nirvana, Primal Scream, Happy Mondays, Oasis loved this show man …..
smells like teen spirit at 54:00
The period when David Baddiel was edgy and sexy rather than middle class and reactionary.
Living a different kind of Mary Whitehouse Experience these days.
Wow al Murray’s first appearance
Weird that there was a time people thought Amanda De Cadenet was more rubbish than Terry Christian. pre-Oscar and pre-Star Wars Laura Dern.
Laura Dern was already well known from the films she did with David Lynch
Al Murray...that weird kid at school that made siren noises
Should said the word nirvana
God forbid. Even her mother didn't age like that.
Only worth seeing for Al Murray ( with actual hair on his head )
When alternative youth culture was about being an individual, and the closest thing to prerequisites to being cool were to be as cynical and offensive as possible. A far cry from these puritan times.
With modern era, the diverse kids are near enough a clone of each other with their admiration for this grime/drill subculture... no individualism, just reeled in and easy to spot with the sports branded clothing
Al Murray wtf.. it was like a cringey Phil Cool
Al Murray's first TV appearance. As painfully unfunny then as he is now.
