Hi Suzie, I just love to watch you in the kitchen. You are so fun. I would love to make some of those jams, but my children are all grown up and doing their own thing. I love when they were little like your kids, it was so much fun to bake cookies, and have their friends over. I am going to be a grandmother in August. Now I bake grownup cakes and cookies. Your marmalade will set faster if you include some of the pulp from the juicer instead of throwing it all away. The pulp is rich in natural pectin. The juicer will have broken down the tough fibres so it should be ok to use.

You can also put the bottles in the oven to sterilize them, at 180° for about 10 min. Also before you sterilize you can soak them in jik water then sundry them

Hey Suzie. I love your content. Whats the difference between canning jars and regular jars and why are you dipping them in hot water?
Canning involves putting the filled jars in a water bath and boiling them for ten minutes or so while covered. This preserves the contents for more than one year without putting them in the fridge. So canning jars have to be made with glass that can withstand boiling, and with lids that will be airtight once boiled, to prevent bacteria from getting in and spoiling the food. In Kenya I haven't found canning jars.

Hi,love your content...how do you preserve these,in the fridge or cabinet?
The canned ones stay in the cabinet for one year, as long as they are unopened. The others stay in the fridge for up to four months.

Not all. Some like the peanut butter can last for at least 2 months without refrigeration.
