Looks like a great utilization of space! The conditioned workspace will make working out there a dream in our summer heat season, too. I like the positioning of the hangar to the house. Seems like having it a hundred feet away at the back of the lot, like in most airpark lots this size, would dampen any ambition to work out there. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on using the space you have. I'm almost ready to start building a detached workshop in our backyard, (waiting on concrete) and seeing other's ideas is really helpful.
We absolutely love the two story workspace that you were able to build within your hangar. We have a couple questions: 1- did you hire an architect / engineer to design your 2 story space? Or did you fonit with a particular software? 2- is the first floor 2x6 ? 3- is the second floor 2x4? 4- what glass garage door did you buy? Make and model? 5- would you change something now that you have had the space for a few years? Thank you. Big fan of your project.
1) I designed this myself and hired a draftsman to draw the prints. 2) all framing is 2x6 with TJI floor joists 3) see above 4) I don’t recall the brand but it’s aluminum dual pane glass 12x8 5) there are several changes but nothing major. Just add a few more electrical outlets and additional lighting.
What type of siding did you use for the exterior of your office? I am about to build an office inside my hangar and I am trying to decide what to use for the sheathing.
Great video, Great project. So jealous!! Quick question. You are in Pegasus correct? Would you happen to know if there are any hangers available for rent or purchase on the south side?
Yep, Pegasus. There is a hangar on the ramp that just listed recently. I’ll have to go see the sign on the door and get the contact info. I seem to recall asking price is around 400k.
@@Outbound300 WOW!!! 400k for a hanger!!! Maybe if it had a loft in it to live in. Thanks for the info.. I do appreciate it but please don't waste your time looking into it. Just out of principle alone, I couldn't/wouldn't pay that much money for 3 walls and a big door. Guess I have to keep looking for a rental. Thanks again, and please keep the videos coming.

@@Outbound300 Thank you very much. Keep up the great work.
It's a great project.
Nice!
A good example to we in Brazil!
Where did you get your plans from? Or did you do this yourself. I would like to do something very similar.
I designed this myself and had an architect create the prints.
I want one!
Forgive me if I missed it, but could you say what the size of your hangar is? Width, length, height, and door opening? Thanks
65x50. 24’ high. Door width is approx 62’

Check my recent video showing the finished project. All walls were drywalled.

MAGA 2024. Subbed. Beautiful space.
I love the American Flag and Trump sign in the hanger!
