The first bike isnt a 2x2 , its front wheel drive only, the last motorcycle and the bicycle at the end are both front wheel drive only. Just pointing it out. Was hoping you's show a Rokon or 2 , maybe its russian counterpart . As usual though you got an interesting mix of motorcycles featured, keep up the good work
The last one is genius. The simplest path is the best. That one has serious potential.

That 1st bike. The front wheel drive one is the business if you ask me. I'd love to get some more information about the bike and it's builder.
The second one seems practical.
The hydraulic front drive is genius, takes some of the Rokon price sting out.
It's interesting, not ugly but no beauty queen. That's directed to the first bike. Dirt was different but the rokon has been around for a while.
I wonder how that would ride it if were sandwiched around the back tire like it was the front. Probably would need some air scoop to direct cooler air into the intake. I'd like to see that. Then the design of the tank could be any shape really and hold a hell of a lot of fuel.
What’s the point of having power to the front wheel when you have very little weight on the front end? Seems like a waste to me

That hydraulic motor on the front fork mount is not designed for the side load of a chain drive and would fail quickly or blow its shaft seal out
Obviously , that first guy, in his quest to make a really wide , ugly, motorcycle forgot about the phrase " unsprung weight".

Yesterday I found a brand new hydraulic pump, today CZcams recommends me this video where someone uses 2 of them to make a 2wd dirt bike.
Looks like I need to find another one and do it.

2WD dirt bike - slight advantage for people who are useless at riding, but going uphill the front has got no weight traction - maybe the fat wheeled snow bike has some merit for a cheap basher.

Impressed with the creativity and engineering for not being a rich corporation but the front wheel on dirt bikes seem to be more of a problem when losing traction because its coming out from under bike
The bicycle just before the bonus with the small wheel on front with a engine is just like the frontwheel drive moped I made in 1993

The hydraulic pump on the wheel gets high marks for enginuety. That's is a no brainer. If the front wheel spins a little faster does that help pull you through the mud. I know they used to have the front gearing on the old 4 wheel drives set up that way.

First black thing is a death trap waiting to happen. That is seriously the first time I've ever seen someone build death wobble. And with the rake on the forks and the weight of that engine hanging off the side I can't imagine how hard it is to counter steer. Like the seem get going across the parking lot and let go to the handlebars. If he doesn't get dumped on his head I'll be impressed

As corporações matam as ideias no nascedouro. O ideal devia ter uma indústria nacional, estatal, que comercializasse essas invenções. Meu, uma adaptação 2x2 numa moto de trilha é algo que todo trilheiro deseja! Imagine uma moto nacional que já saísse de fábrica com tração nas duas rodas!

More to break leave it alone.Their is a guy who has been riding a bike with a small two stroke mounted on the rear wheel around where I work at for at least 2 years now everyday. Pretty sure it has a roller on the tire and not a chain but for two years he has kept it up and has his route planned to walmart it seems without having to stop.

The 2nd bike (dirt bike) should've been 2wheel drive or just left alone as you need constant weight over the wheels for traction other bikes are interesting 👍
Rokon was ancient technology that has run its course, there is no need for 2wd motorcycles with the motor and suspension bikes have today. A little Ktm 200 exc is the ultimate light weight go anywhere machine

2:39 is a prime example that two wheel drive doesn't work and makes the bike heavier and multiplying the problem.

The FWD road bike is an interesting concept, but scary as Hell when you think about it. For maneuverability, you want low weight on the front wheel, as well as a low unsprung weight. That thing has neither. Imagine trying an evasive steering maneuver when you have half the weight of the bike attached to the handlebars.
The dirt bike with the hydrostatic front drive makes a lot of sense. You can use it when needed, then turn it off when you don't want the front tire breaking traction. And what you lose in efficiency with the hydraulic drive likely isn't any higher than what you would lose with a complicated mechanical drive to the front of the bike, then to the fork, and then down to the front wheel.

Already been done. UBCO 2x2, check it out when you get the chance. Designed here in New Zealand as an offroad utility vehicle, about to hit the streets as a kick-ass moped. I sell them on the side of my usual bicycle sales and repairs.
The best part is that with its dual-controller setup, both wheels don't have the same amount of power at all times like a mechanical setup. This can be further adjusted with firmware updates, with options like disabling the front motor on take-off for improved safety, etc.
Yes, indeed. Either electric or with hydraulic. Either way will give instant torque and the motors are small enough to be mounted as a part of the wheel.
