- It took quite a while to get this video and the next one ready. I hope this topic is still somewhat relevant, but I saw a lot of people talking about Steven Universe Season 6 and the possibility of a second gem war, and here are my long overdue thoughts on that concept, including reasons why it might and might not happen! Hope you enjoy!

Let’s not forget that Steven’s new galaxy order for the home world gems also affects others besides higher ranked gems like Jasper, Holy Blue, and Aquamerine. It also affects the hole of Home World military. Steven has Yellow Dimond dismantle the military, and that’s leaving lots of gems not only without a job but without a purpose.
I'm also concerned about resources. Gems are created using living planets as nurseries but planets as perfect for gem breeding as Earth are very uncommon. Peridot was created with limited abilities as a result of this shortage. Diamond invasions aren't just for the sake of evil, it's for the wellbeing of their entire race. What's going to happen when resources finally run out?
Something that's had me worried recently is the reminder that The Hourglass was a thing. It's made an appearance in both the original pilot as well as Steven and the Stevens. This tiny little thing allows for time travel and even paradoxes. Steven made an entire band out of himself. The thing I really want to know is "Is that the only one of its kind?" Do you realize what the Crystal Gems could have done with a piece of tech like that? So many events over the course the series could have been rewritten in favor of the Hourglasses wielder. If more exist, what could a vengeful gem like Jasper do with it? Imagine an entire army of paradox Jaspers. I hate time travel plots (hence why I tried to forget Steven and the Stevens was a thing) but the fact that this thing was important enough to have the first pilot centered around it, I'm thinking it might have a role to play still.

I remember rumors about the episode being non-cannon but I just hope that it stays cannon but is never ever mentioned for the sake of being ironic, like the gem mural.
I doubt there will be a second Gem War. Even if there is, it'll be a kid-safe version of a war.
Well... The show has already tackled things like depression, sexuality, good and bad relationships and well... Death so if there is a war it might not be so child friendly but who knows what can happen?

imagine, white diamond goes missing and things go out of balance, and a war breaks out between blue and yellow. And it's up to steven to find white diamond so that things go back to normal. That would be so cool.

As we know, the season 6 intro has white diamond being mind controlled by a new alien species.. So, does this species take White and reform her into a destructive pink chaotic zombie
And then revolt against homeworld under this aliens power? And if yellow and blue notice she's gone then.. everything would he in utter chaos. Gems would be cross fusing everywhere, Jasper has no control over what she does now, that alien species possesses them (Jasper, White, Aquamarine and a ruby fusion, Plus the Watermelon Steven's)
And creates a war and wrecks havoc on earth.. Utter destruction right?

My scenario for Jasper is something nearly similar to Vegeta during Dragonball Z's Ginyu Force Arc up to the Majin Buu Arc. She might still be angry towards Steven and Co...but at the same time, she's conflicted. She might've been told the truth about everything and may have trouble coming to grips with it all.
Then, much like Goku and the others; Steven might try to show her some kindness over and over again...only to be shot down nearly every time. But after a while, Jasper's walls will come down and she'll start to open up more; becoming fragile and open for redemption
Even IF the likes of Jasper, Aquamarine, Holly Blue Agate or even Eyeball try to rise up against Steven's utopian version of Homeworld society; what could THEY do?
1. Jasper's whole beef with the Crystal Gems stemmed from their leader, Rose supposedly destroying Pink Diamond. But would she still have that mindset after learning Rose and Pink are the same? For that matter, would she really be nuts enough to go up against her leaders?
2. Aquamarine is cunning, yes...but she doesn't seem that strong; which explains why she had those two Topazes with her. As such, I doubt she (even with others helping her) would be foolish enough to go against 90% of a society that has embraced Steven's views.
3. Holly Blue seems very eager to please the Diamonds. So, even though they've changed; I doubt SHE would want to lose face with them.
4. Compared to OUR Ruby, Eyeball seems too dumb to be a threat. She may try to persuade others to join her...but considering her status, I doubt a lot would listen. She's like Mina Loveberry on the final episode of Star Vs. Yes, they DO have ideas and ideas may have a stronger impact on the world than people.
But if no one listens to you, what's the point?
Finally, there's that big beastie we saw in the intro. One of the biggest theories going around for years spoke about other alien species besides the Gemfolk. This creature could be part of such a species out for revenge against Gems for what they did to its home.
Not only does he seem to have a size advantage, he also seems to have a possible mind control power; which could be a huge issue to deal with
sadlobster1 the truth of the matter is that Steven has the diamonds on his side, and the difference in power, both physically and on their influence on the mental plane, is too great from the rest of the gems. They can literally wipe out the entire race by joining the power of all diamonds in a single attack, so even if every gem was against Steven’s wishes, they have no say on the matter.

Well judging by that new trailer it seems they might have a force more powerful than the diamonds on their side. Not to mention they possibly have a diamond of their own..
sadlobster1 Well it appears that they actually could be a threat, because they have white on their side, who is most likely being mind controlled by jasper or that big worm thing. I think what if the worm thing created the diamonds.

I mean, Alicorns are supposed to be the most powerful ponies in MLP, but the plot still keeps finding reasons to take them out of the equation, so it could still be possible for the Diamonds to be circumvented somehow.
Opals form stays the same because that’s her personality. More relaxed kinda vibe. Fusions outfits seem to be more of their own thing than a mixture of the fusers outfits (the exception being Stevens fusions cause he’s half human)

I think a 2nd Gem war would be a good end to steven universe because the conflicts began with the uprising, and it would be cool to see all the crystal gems fight another war to end the series.

The only thing I want anymore from this show is a villain that feels like an actual threat because they’re not able to be reasoned with.

well human government can be a good reason to start a 2nd gem war. I mean, following the last episode of SUF. Steven will now learn about being a "human". But, what if the humans outside beach city are you know, horrible and is actually much more advance than we expected and attacked one of the diamond's colony
Jasper would obviously be the new antagonist because in the Steven universe future trailer,she was shown in one of the scene in a shadowy like figure along with some other gems with her side looking menacingly.
well now its revealed that season 6 is steven universe future, and that it may be shorter than usual. I highly doubt they'd try to squeeze a whole gem war in there.

The rejuvenator can't be stopped by Steven he himself doesn't know what it is also peridot would've known but she was surprised of what the rejuvenator did, that means it was abandoned in era 1 probalby.

There are so many cool possibilities!
The rejuvenated diamond problem could be easily solved considering that the gems who are likely going to be the one rebelling, are the ones who were closer to the diamonds. I could imagine a bunch of aquamarines getting close to white diamond to hit her with rejuvenators by just being aquamarines and pretending no intention to harm.
And they probably don't even know what bread is!

Hey Adventure Time With Finn And Jake fans out there, you guys should make a fan-made Adventure Time With Finn And Jake 2D animated spin-off series call: Adventure Time With Queen Helga And Princess Sam that take place in the past with a adventure-loving Land Of Ooo queen name Helga and her adventure-loving princess daughter name Sam go on both fun and incredibly fun Adventure Time adventures and to keep The Land Of Ooo safe from not only evil, but sometimes The Lich. Also later on in this fan-made Adventure Time 2D animated spin-off series, Queen Helga befriends a pirate queen and as time goes on, they start to have feelings for each other and decide to have a relationship with each other.
Why don't you make it yourself? Or just write a fanfiction instead of asking people to write up parts for your fanfiction and animate it for no pay in return.

I have a feeling if we get another gem war, it probably will be set up all season then by the end of the season they release another movie with the entire gem war, with the start of it starting in season 6
Tbf, the diamonds could possibly be circumvented by an 'Et tu, Pearl?' situation. Their servants, possibly also rejuvenated, stab them all in the back. Maybe while Steven watches to add that extra oomph.
I know Diamonds are strong but Blue diamond alone lost to the crystal Gems (no obsidian or Fusions other than Garnet)
And Jasper also survived a ship falling on her while she was in the ships core. Also people beleive Jasper is fusing with white Diamond
It might be interesting to see a gem war but if I was displaced to Steven Universe and can pick only, ONLY 3 powers of different kind, mine be either:
A. Able to create lifeforms and resources from energy, fast technology speed by 35% and a effective society against other beings
B. Effective on the battlefield from planetary to space, reproduction rate of units by 50% and ships and weapons technology speed by 25%
Or
C. Can adapt to any environment from ice giants to volcanic planets, able to produce better technology from stealing tech and can produce larger star ships than other space faring race.
Which one would you pick or can think of a more efficient idea than mine, this is just for pure imagination.

Personally I think that if a Second Gem War would occur, it'd probably be because one of the diamonds switches back, like white diamond? Think about it, you are a practical god, and then some random kid comes in and embarrasses the living hell out of you in front of everybody, and then tries to be your friend (a concept completely alien to you), you'd want revenge too. And it also gives instant stakes as a lot of gems would still see white diamond as a living god, and their word as law, so if they said that yellow, blue, and pink diamonds were enemies for one reason or another, then they'd listen because "why would our leader lie to us?"

saying that disobedient gems were shattered was probably just a scare tactic, at the same time they probably used the rejuvinator and told everyone that it was just the replacement gem to the one that was supposedly shattered.
That's a good point. I doubt it was a scare tactic all of the time, plus the diamonds could shatter someone without flinching
@@bleh1569 yeah ofcourse, they have various methods and various punishments for gems. Like shattering them or even trapping them in an object like Lapis was in the mirror or presumably the gem architecture on home world.

She needed help after watermelon island and turning alone at Sea and he didn't help her because he was too busy focussing on poor lapis and her self-inflicted drama trauma I consider Jasper to be nothing but terrible. Also, I'm sure you've heard but there is no season six. We're getting a sister/prologue mini series.
There should be a series when Steven has three other brothers Yellow Steven, Blue Steven and me White Steven.
As much as I would love to see a second gem war, they aren't going to do it. Now, I can see a rebellion that lasts for a few years, granted the show would need a seventh season to guarantee a fleshed out storyline. Plus, the show could take a turn on how the story is told to demonstrate how long it actually is. Each episode could take place a month after the previous one. Each season would take place over the course of roughly two years. With two seasons, that's four years. The seventh season could then have an extra couple episodes to finish it off, and we would practically see Steven age with Zach Callison, as they would both end up around twenty at the end. This also lines up with what Zach said about Steven's arc lining up with his. If you read this rant, I appreciate you, as this took a while to write. Let me know whether you agree with me or not.

As exciting as that would be I don't think there should be a really huge war considering there is one season left. We don't want Steven Universe to be the new Star vs.

I think the biggest issue with this idea (aside from time of course) Is that he fundamentally misunderstands stevens character and how the crewniverse treats him. Woulda been a cool idea but i think I prefer what they did to this

What if spinel rejuvenated the diamonds to make them think she is the real pink diamond so then she would be treated better, she’s be the one being loved, and she wouldn’t make the mistake of loving anyone and them leaving her. Also her lovers would be locked in because she was pink diamond (the way she found the rejuvenator was because she asked the diamonds and since she was a replacement **sort of** pink diamond she would have the authority to know or make up some lame ass excuse like one of my gems aren’t working properly xD).
