Props should be given to Micheal for sounding and behaving in a diplomatic and calm manner.
That's not really something you should be giving props about. Don't get me wrong, that's an incredibly rare trait for a person to have, but given the status Masi is at, you shouldn't expect anything less. He doesn't let others to get to him, but makes neutral decisions.
The fact Toto instantly run to stewards with printed out chapter from the rulebook almost makes me believe, that in a briefing it was like "right, Lewis, whatever happens, dont back off, if you come together with max, we will make sure he takes the blame"

It was Max's corner 100%. He had the racing line. Hamilton could of just tried to pass on the 2nd 3rd laps.
Max gave up the corner when he made the fake move to cover the outside line instead of holding the more defensive inside line.

It was an I genius move by Hamilton.. He came on the inside and got the racing line and outwitted max.. Max realized this and shoved his car on the inside and got koed.. He reacted late.. His fault.. If max feels he can throw his weight every race and racers will back out he's mistakened.

Not just verstappen left him space, he was on the racing line. Ham was on the inner side, which have a slower exit speed on the corner. Besides, hamilton wasn't ahead, he understeered before crashing. Hamilton is definitely overspeed on the inner side of the line

Your front wheel just has to be ahead of the rear from the outer. Just because someone is on the racing line doesnt mean he can use the corner just how he wants. That being said the stewards did put blame on both drivers more on lewis and he got a penalty for that

Did Max try to cut off Hamilton because he had a lot of space on his left. Just wondering
No he was on a normal racing line.. a bit more to the left because he left a large space for Lewis. Lewis lost control there and understeered into Max. A bit a rookie error.
Max was ahead before and during that corner requiring Hamilton to leave space. He did not and therefore he was wrong.
@@chrisgillis7217 go look at the diagram that Toto is refering to in this video. It's literally in the rule book and once you see it you'll realise it was a racing incident.
@@sethje it's a rookie mistake driving aggressively on the first lap with arguably the fastest race car, banging wheels and turning in on a rival who you have a 33 championship point lead over. There's a time to be aggressive and a time to be calculated.
That's exactly what Max did as the video clearly shows. But hey, it's Hamilton so it must be his fault.

@@MrDeuit well if he still believes that Max turned in on him why would he apologise? He made the same move on Norris and Leclerc and no crash happend. Vettel and Alonso raced there in 2014 without any incident. Bottas made a move on Hamilton a couple of years ago as well.
This was a incident where neither of them wanted to back out. You could see that down through Wellington straight that’s both of them had decided to not give the other an inch of room. This time it was Max that crashed but it could just as easy had been Hamilton

The results of an accident are not part of the investigation. Hamilton did a mistake, but it was not a huge mistake so he didn't get penalized a ton for it.
The consequences of the incident have no impact on the penalty, Hamilton was clearly alongside going into Copse and this nonsense rhetoric that you can’t over take there is insane. Max Verstappen has made his name by making overtakes exactly like this numerous times before.

@@thebbiddim882 I disagree I think driver safety comes above all and you saw that with the Grosjean crash. The drivers radios and the team principal’s reactions were sincere. I know the Grosjean crash was a lot worse but I think concern should still be shown.
Every driver who has ever crashed out of a race at that speed has gone hospital, it’s just the procedure. Verstappen is perfectly fine.... Hamilton did nothing wrong. Neither did Max, you guys are making it an issue.
