This is absolutely astonishing! This is where it all started for me, collecting 78s and Gramophones. In the late 70s World Records on their Retrospect label released an LP Happy Days are Here Again - Hits of the 30s with notes on the cover by Brian Rust. Track one was Happy Days are Here Again by Jack Hylton and his band and I still I have this LP today. Whilst the version on the LP was nicely cleaned up this is head and shoulders above that and brought back all the memories when I first discovered British Dance Bands. Then came Potter’s Pennies from Heaven and that was it. 40 odd years later, 2000+ 78s and 35 Gramophones and Phonographs , this track brought back all those memories.
