Adam Faith - ' What Do You Want' - Stereo 1959 This is the second attempt at syncing these two recordings together. This version of Adam Faith's 1959 No 1 hit is a bit of a hybrid, let me explain the recording had a instrumental backing by John Barry and as far as I am aware was only ever released in Mono, although DES versions do exist. In 1960 Bobby Vee recorded a cover version of 'What do yo...

Fascinating. Thank you!
Oh yes
The progressive rock band Van der Graaf Generator with Pete Hammill covered this instrumental masterfully. This original version by George Martin is also a stunning piece of work.
Today, when Paul plays this song in his concerts, the piccolo trumpet part is played by his keyboardist, Wix Wickens - who does an outstanding job trying to recreate that original sound. czcams.com/video/x-53leNAh30/video.html The solo starts at 1:07
This was fantastic...Great Upload!!!
She belongs to History and to us now, having part in the Beatles titanic work!

David Mason was my brass ensemble coach at the RCM. A beautiful person with such amazing stories....inspirational in every way, really miss him
This song was my 'crush' song. When I hear the intro, I become really emotional because I miss my childhood so much. To go back there is all I would ask if it were possible. I'd just want to stay there....I can only listen to songs from the 60s for so long before I have to stop. I just want to go to sleep and when I wake up, I'll be in my dad's greenhouse in the makeshift bed in our old oval tin bathtub that was lined with sacks and the smell of Jeye's Fluid....I used to wish to be grown up back then so I wouldn't have to go to school, I'd have money of my own (had no idea about jobs/wages back then) but my dad used to say 'you'll miss these days when they're gone...' my mind would think 'no I won't'.....Dad, you were so right! Can I come back, now?
The only possibility for a 1930s recording to sound good in stereo, would be if it was an experimental stereo. Or that it was recorded with 2 mikes at the same time. Mono is generally the ONLY way to go.
Sheila was gorgeous at 83. Harp music 🎵🎶 is therapeutic for my Hospice patients and for the harpist as well.❤Let light 🕯️🕊️🌹 perpetual shine upon Sheila.🤩😍😻💖🎧🎼💜😃💛🌟❣️❤️💌🌻✨💛💙🙏
Suzi then, now, tomorrow.😊
15 when this came out I believe. Lol
This must surely be one of the shortest number 1 singles
Roger Delgado was in that radio production?! The first Master in Doctor Who?!
The movie was great! love the song!
My god i love that woman
What a treat!
For me, the addition of strings is so important to this tune. It's simply wonderful and is my favourite instrumental of all time.
GET DOWN SHEP
When she said bring out the big guns and smashed the shit outta that thing you knew Paul McCartney thought that's the one right there.....
MESTARI ASIALLA
Simply beautiful. The orchestra and chorus make this song. The woman all men loved to love.

Fine !!
Does anyone else remember 'The Magic Feather'? A kind of western puppet show which was my favourite.
Hi Michael, I remember back in the mists of time a children's show called 'Four Feather Falls' which was a very early Gerry Anderson Production (he of thunderbirds etc fame) which was based on a Western puppet character, probably in the early sixties, but I cant say I have ever heard of ''The Magic Feather, perhaps others have.
Appreciated!
Stayed at her Hotel in Carmel , Dogs were allowed everywhere. She was a lovely lady.

Arthur Negus the Genius
Sometimes you can work and work to get things right but if its not meant to be , no amount of work can stop it from falling apart! .. But in the case of this song , with this lady and the Beatles , everything just fell together because it was meant to be..❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏
Great tune. Interesting that Tony Blackburn is a vegetarian and the title of this is Beefeaters! 😂
Nice Omega Speedmaster II
All the good studio musicians of the Beatles were algerians.
This lady was a badass, she played the signature intro to the song "Boogie Nights" by Heatwave!:)
Listen to this version of Penny Lane: /watch?v=sH8f-HGsgJ4&t=27s It has the trumpet riff at the end. Magical!
