Valenta Hopper Cleaning

In this video, Ken explains how to remove the windows on your Valenta hopper for cleaning. PLEASE NOTE, these windows are fragile and can break easily if tightened down too much. Be sure to only tighten about a 1/4 turn once you feel resistance.

Could you show in video how to disassemble that hopper? Is it complicated? Whats the best way to get rid of black burnt things inside hopper? Any chemical? Can I clean the hopper without taking apart?

How many pounds of coffee can be roasted before you'd say the hopper should be pulled and cleaned?

The hopper should be cleaned at least once a year but you can clean it more often if you want to. A good rule of thumb would be if you are having trouble seeing the beans through the window because the window is too dirty, then it's probably time to clean it.
