I had Cervical Spine surgery on August 22 of this year. I had to stop selling my products and doing my lives because I was going to have to wear a rigid neckbrace for 6 months 24/7 plus a bone stimulator. I went through a double mastectomy in 2010 and I thought I was ok until they prepped me to go into surgery and I started to cry. A nurse came over to me and patted me on the shoulder. I decided not to go through reconstruction. I believe I was 63.

Patty, I lost 8 of my closest family and friends. I had to take care of my husband for two years. He had Parkinson’s. He died almost 4 years ago. Hi Patti I am sure you have found the fountain of youth. You look so wonderful. It is so important to take the time to do whatever we need to make ourselves feel pretty. For me it is putting on makeup and doing my hair. I try not to wash my hair every day but I never feel good unless it’s washed. I am now wearing clothes everyday that I used to keep for “good”
Yes.. we need to wear our pretty clothes more often and enjoy them.. I took carloads.. literally filled the car 4 times and took all mums clothes to goodwill when she passed, many still had tags on, never worn!! And she wore her same old stuff.

Hi Patti, i enjoyed your video, as always. I watched Melissa's video too and understand her need to push herself somewhat to feel normal, as she stated. I had a rare soft tissue cancer in my forearm that was very advanced and aggressive that threatened losing my arm and threatened my life as well. That was 22 years ago and I thankfully remain sarcoma-free today. Having support from my family was vital to my recovery but getting back to work enabled me to feel myself again and gave me matters to focus on other than myself. Hi Patti, I wanted to add that I always take a facecloth, more recently a make up remover cloth when I travel. In a bright colour so it stands out. Im definitely going to get a satin pillow case for travel. I always count the number of hairs I lose on the hotel cotten case😚

Here I am am, watching your video tonight. I can't sleep. I am 63 years old. It is strange to me to even type that out. I usually don't think in those terms. But for the last 14 months, our home has been all about my husbands stage 4 prostate cancer. I woke up yesterday, looking in my mirror and not even recognizing myself. I have disappeared and that is no help for anyone. Your kind words about your friend dealing with cancer are very sweet. It effects the whole family and circle of friends. I have vowed to reclaim my life and be the best I can for myself and all around me. Between the lockdowns in the past years, and the cancer, I have been living my life in ball caps and self neglect. Please be kind to everyone. You never know what they are dealing with in their lives. Anytime we go in for chemo or infusions, the room is packed! And so many are alone in their journey. It is heartbreaking.

It was a GUESS bag and came in a gift box with a silver sequin little case. They also had it in black which I purchased. I'm cutting off the GUESS logo and adding a large brooch. It is so sweet. Well to say I have had some down days is an understatement! We were on a cruise on the river and were in Switzerland and my husband was injured while on a bus going back to the ship. This happened on a Friday, he went to the hospital on Saturday and he passed away on Wednesday. We had been married for 63:almost 64 years and he was the love of my life so Thanksgiving and Christmas will never be the same. My Church and Quilting friends have really been there for me but to say this is a sad time in my life is an understatement! Rory for being down !

Hej Patti! I remember your video with the bare minerals serum- I had had the original- so tried this version after seeing it on you- it is on the top of my list- my alternative is the Wet & Wild tinted moisturizer - I tend to go back to Flower Beauty Blushes on a daily basis- the powder form. I switched my Mascara to just for redheads- for those natural looking days- makes My green eyes pop much better than brown or brown black. I am in need of a concealer so I may just try that bare minerals that you Mentioned . Oh- and I still reach for my bare minerals powder foundation - the original one . There is something to be said about grace under fire while battling an illness, or after such altering surgery - or even as in my late husband's case- while dying. To meet each day with a smile.. to greet each person there to treat you with a smile and a kind word is such grace. Life is not always easy. We do the best we can on any given moment. Love and kindness go a long way. Fight the good fight. Healing will follow through, however we are meant to achieve that healing... here on earth or on the other side of the veil. Peace be with all here- love & light 💚☘️💚

However, I’ve recently decided that at 74 powder foundations don’t work as well for me. Glad to know the liquid Bare Minerals is a winner! I watched Melissa’s video a few days ago and I agree, she is so upbeat and gracious (like you!). Another great role model for us ❤️ One question: where did you get that terrific top you’re wearing?

One of my best friends went through mastectomy, she too made it sound easy but I know it had to be hard for her. She seems to be doing well now. I pray for all cancer patients..
Patti I’ve watched you for yrs at this point I got my Mom watching you as well, my Aunt who’s only a few yrs older than me found her first lump in her breast at 29 she’s now 53 and hasn’t gone gone more than two yrs in remission from the beginning. It has spread to her Ribs and left lung just because it started as Breast Cancer for the first 20 yrs didn’t mean it couldn’t spread and it did unfortunately, her original tumour was in a place that they couldn’t get 100% of it out we all knew it could grow again and it did over and over her breast is gone and that almost minute piece that they couldn’t get boy it’s determined it won’t give up and neither will my Aunt. Of course she has days where she thinks she’s used every drop of will power and fight she has but low and behold she digs deeper and finds more I’ve never met anyone with the love for life and fight for life that she has . She always tells me Mel you have more big deeper you got this , because I also have really bad health issues that requires so many surgeries hard surgeries I had to learn how to walk again after one of them, and I’m so great full I can’t still walk with how damaged my Spine is and no after awful surgeries we don’t feel pretty especially when you lose something so pivotal to being a Women , but do whatever is in your power to feel better about yourself to love yourself and remember how much you are loved and needed no matter what you are capable of doing. I can no longer work ever I was told this at 37 I’m now 47 ten yrs of not working not making my own money to feel that I had to ask my Husband if I could buy something when I already did not recognize the Women in mirror my body had changed so much ( for the worse) I can’t clean my own home some days or dress myself without help let me tell you how that totally destroyed my self worth and confidence. I had to learn to even like myself again before I could love myself it’s not easy but nobody ever ever said life was gonna be easy we have to fight for the things most important to us never give up yourself, have your moments then pull then panties back up and move ahead in a better direction I’m sending love , healing and positivity to anyone needing it XOXO .

It was a GUESS bag and came in a gift box with a silver sequin little case. They also had it in black which I purchased. I'm cutting off the GUESS logo and adding a large brooch. It is so sweet. Well to say I have had some down days is an understatement! We were on a cruise on the river and were in Switzerland and my husband was injured while on a bus going back to the ship. This happened on a Friday, he went to the hospital on Saturday and he passed away on Wednesday. We had been married for 63:almost 64 years and he was the love of my life so Thanksgiving and Christmas will never be the same. My Church and Quilting friends have really been there for me but to say this is a sad time in my life is an understatement! Rory for being down !

There is something to be said about grace under fire while battling an illness, or after such altering surgery - or even as in my late husband's case- while dying. To meet each day with a smile.. to greet each person there to treat you with a smile and a kind word is such grace. Life is not always easy. We do the best we can on any given moment. Love and kindness go a long way. Fight the good fight. Healing will follow through, however we are meant to achieve that healing... here on earth or on the other side of the veil.

However, I’ve recently decided that at 74 powder foundations don’t work as well for me. Glad to know the liquid Bare Minerals is a winner! One of my best friends went through mastectomy, she too made it sound easy but I know it had to be hard for her. She seems to be doing well now. I pray for all cancer patients..
I too had a double this year after 5 months of chemo. It was very difficult.
Patti I’ve watched you for yrs at this point I got my Mom watching you as well, my Aunt who’s only a few yrs older than me found her first lump in her breast at 29 she’s now 53 and hasn’t gone gone more than two yrs in remission from the beginning. It has spread to her Ribs and left lung just because it started as Breast Cancer for the first 20 yrs didn’t mean it couldn’t spread and it did unfortunately, her original tumour was in a place that they couldn’t get 100% of it out we all knew it could grow again and it did over and over her breast is gone and that almost minute piece that they couldn’t get boy it’s determined it won’t give up and neither will my Aunt. Of course she has days where she thinks she’s used every drop of will power and fight she has but low and behold she digs deeper and finds more I’ve never met anyone with the love for life and fight for life that she has . She always tells me Mel you have more big deeper you got this , because I also have really bad health issues that requires so many surgeries hard surgeries I had to learn how to walk again after one of them, and I’m so great full I can’t still walk with how damaged my Spine is and no after awful surgeries we don’t feel pretty especially when you lose something so pivotal to being a Women , but do whatever is in your power to feel better about yourself to love yourself and remember how much you are loved and needed no matter what you are capable of doing. I can no longer work ever I was told this at 37 I’m now 47 ten yrs of not working not making my own money to feel that I had to ask my Husband if I could buy something when I already did not recognize the Women in mirror my body had changed so much ( for the worse) I can’t clean my own home some days or dress myself without help let me tell you how that totally destroyed my self worth and confidence. I had to learn to even like myself again before I could love myself it’s not easy but nobody ever ever said life was gonna be easy we have to fight for the things most important to us never give up yourself, have your moments then pull then panties back up and move ahead in a better direction I’m sending love , healing and positivity to anyone needing it XOXO .
