When my mom was 92, her hair was getting long. I asked if she wanted to get it cut and she said she was kind of liking it longer. I said pretty soon it will be long enough that I could put it in a bun. She scrunched up her face and said "buns are for old ladies. "😂 She never thought of herself as an old lady. 😊

When I was younger I always said I wanted to wear my hair up. Because I felt it was sophisticated and timeless. I didn't want to wear an old lady hair style that so many people get like my own mother short and curls. Now I'm old and I still feel the same way. Everyone has to do what they like.❤
My mom is now 87 and continues to have her hair colored 😱 I tried to explain to her that all those chemicals throughout the years could very well be the culprit to her hair thinning and falling out. She still insists that she has her hair colored because being gray symbolizes being old? OMG 😂 She’s a timeless beauty inside and out. ❤️

I think there also should be elderly people talking about how they feel as they approach the end of their journey on this earth. No one wants to talk about it when just like a birth is celebrated and expected equally death is part of that journey and in it there is also a celebration of life experiences, lessons, memories.

Sorry, everything I wrote disappeared, can't find it. I did use ELF for awhile and liked it. Have to buy a lighter shade. Using Beauty products from DG right now. It's very light on my skin, I don't care to use a lot of makeup, am 82 years old, very few wrinkles. I started wearing makeup again after listening to you! Thank you Patty, love watching you, I've learned so much. I feel good when I wear makeup. Will look into some of what you are using when I'm able. Love you're videos.❤

Thank you!!!! I accidentally found your video. It has given me a new lease on life! I had to take early retirement 10 years ago due to my daughter's failing health. She was in and out of the the hospital. Then in 2018, she spent nearly 18 months in I.C.U. She died in June of 2020. I haven't worn makeup for 10 years. I am blessed to look pretty good without it. Since my daughter died, I haven't wanted to leave the house or do much of anything. I watched this video and immediately wanted to try all this makeup. I feel better about life than I have in 10 years. I just turned 70 and was beginning to worry about my looks because of my age. You proved that age has nothing to do with beauty, both inside and outside. It is amazing how something as small as new makeup can change your outook. BUT....I could not successfully put on new makeup without your help, especially since I have never worn much of it. Thank you!!!!!! You a an answer to prayer and a blessing to my life!

navigate each day. I can't imagine how much you have suffered. My daughter is my only child and she, too, became ill at age 19. It changed our lives significantly even tho she eventually somewhat recovered. Having a sick child is something no one can understand unless they live thru it.
Surgeries, hospital stays, specialists, etc, etc all become the main focus of life. I am happy you are learning to live again. I isolated myself so I do feel for you. Best wishes to you.☮️❤️

Well she has the genes one can see that she was a good looking woman in her young years and has aged very well. Unfortunately, some people are not good looking and also do not age well. Lifestyle and Genes make the difference.
Patti, I'm 64, my Aunt is 82 and runs rings around me, she is amazing, we go to exercise class and out to lunch and stuff together, she lost her daughter and I lost my mum, so we fill that empty space in each other's heart. Her health is better than mine, so age is just numbers .. you my darling lady, you are a 21 year old spirit in and almost 81 year old body, live like your spirit tells you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

My Nana did the same thing. Everyday she would say her age and say "I can't believe it." She lived well into her late 90s.
I've had zero luck with the drugstore foundation until I got the Elf. I love it, and it lasted all day. I'm 70, and it didn't settle in my wrinkles. It's so good to see you. You were missed ❤

I just happened to see your video and I am learning how to put makeup on at 59 years old. When you said that you are 81 years old, I was shocked. I have been in total chronic severe back pain for many many years now and have tried everything from chiropractic to orthopedic to pain management and nothing helps much at all. I'm 67 too, but wow hope I look as wonder as Patti when and if I make it her age. She is just beautiful inside and out.
I’m 52. I’ve been feeling down on myself lately and realized I haven’t been wearing makeup for a very long time. I used to love doing my makeup. I’ve started wearing it slowly again and it makes your self confidence so much better.
I lost my mom at 78 to liver cancer. Hearing you speak (minus the accent), watching the way you carry yourself, the way you spoke to your grandbabies, made me tear up. I lost my dad when he was only 57 -27 years ago. My sisters and I rallied around my mom and our family became closer than ever. Losing her was gut wrenching but I was honored to be able to take care for her until she passed. My dad finally got to slow-dance with his sweetheart again (the Platters, ‘Smoke gets in Your Eyes”).
I became a grandma myself in 2022. That rascal put the pep back in my step and I began wearing makeup again. I retired early last December (after 35 years with a utility company)and, before then, had been working from home so makeup really wasn’t necessary.
I found you by searching for content about foundation for mature skin and found you today (I’ve been subscribed to other “mature” content creators like Angie “Hot n Flashy” and “Graceful Beauty”). You are lovely! I look forward to seeing more of your content!
I am 57 and e.l.f. continually hits hit out of the ballpark for me... they should just have a box on standby since I order so much from them. This is one of their best releases for quite a while!! 😂😂
And getting older really creeps up on you. You look amazing, and are doing so well. My mother was 83 and passed away a couple weeks ago, but she had given up quite a while ago. I learned the most important lesson watching her. Never stop moving, never stop learning, and make sure you take the time to make yourself keep going. For me, it's mostly my dogs. I was in a terrible car accident, and have issues from that, but I will always crawl if I must, to take care of animals. ❤

You are making the world a better place and I so enjoy visiting with you! You could easily be the Mr. Roger's show for adult women. So kind and calming. Just found your channel and so glad I did. I am 73 and live alone in Springfield Missouri. Last week I contacted a real estate in the cantonment/pensacola area to purchase a home. I am tired of renting. I probably don’t have the dollars you had when you purchased your beautiful home in Florida and I am looking at taking out a mortgage at 73 years old. I long to find a home that will wrap its arms around me and make me feel at home. Open to any advice you have. I have gotten rid of a lot of items over the years but still moving is daunting and physically demanding. My children live at a distance and very busy with their lives so I can’t call upon them. I must navigate this journey with Gods assistance. Thank you for your videos❤️🙏

And, pre-aging is one of them. I’m not sure why, guess chronic pain plays a huge factor. Anyways, I love your videos and wanted to send you a huge thank you for your generous videos, you explain well, and always are interested in getting everyone’s opinions on products, etc. You are a lovely lady and make makeup fun, even at our mature ages. I miss the samples we used to get for free. The little glass perfume samples were the perfect size to fit in a clutch bag for formal occasions.
@@puglove876 💯 I, too, miss the good old days of samples. I carried the little glass bottles in my clutches for formals, in my purse makeup bag for unexpected evenings out after work, and also for travel. Makeup samples were also perfect for these occasions.

Happy Early Birthday Patty! My mom will be 88 on the 22nd, and is just starting to slow down. She just sold her big truck and trailer last fall, after a small stroke. She's fine, no lasting effects. She didn't want to risk hurting anyone if she had another stroke. She's still full of energy. She's going to move out west, with my 57 year old sister, after the summer. I've got 20 years to catch up with her, lol! She doesn't slow down, for anyone, lol! You keep doing what you do, beautiful lady!

Thanks! I haven’t worn makeup since COVID Lockdowns...i just gave up, and my skin has suffered. All my life, i used CLINIQUE - since my 20s and I'm now nearly 77. I bought some CLINIQUE Foundation this spring - but didn’t work so well now. Haven't worn any makeup...Ive seen ELF in Supermarket. I'll buy some and try! Looks great on you!!! 😊

When Elf started coming out and was $1.00 at Target I gave it a try. Omg I fell in love with their make up and their foundation (medium) was a perfect match for my skin color. Ever since that's what I use and I only use a little and it goes along way. I started using ELF back in 2005 and still do! I just came across this video and You look amazing for your age! I love ELF products. Great skin care, too. The holy hydration fragrance free moisturizer is so good. Castor oil has made my eyelashes and brows grow like crazy...plus no more dry eyes! ❤

Patti, I watched this video night before last and decided to try these e.l.f. products. I went to Walmart and bought almost everything you used in this video...and I am absolutely beside myself. I love these products so much. The coverage is so pretty on my mature skin. I can say, I am obsessed and I'm going back to Walmart tomorrow and get the contour pallet as well as the holy hydration eye cream to use with the Nikol silicone eye mask patches that I'm getting ready to purchase after I send this comment. I have learned so much from you and if I look half as good as you do in a few years I will be so happy. Thank you so much for introducing so many wonderful products to us.
You always look great! I had a really rough start to the year & feeling bad. My new doctor (EEEKKKKK!) found something in my blood which wound me up in the ER via ambulance for testing. The test gave me the worst hives I ever had, no answers to what was wrong but good results anyway. After seeing a barrage of specialists, decent results, a lot of money, the only answer is what I already knew, 3rd stage kidney disease & no answers to the D-dimer test. My RA & medications probably cause this. Sheesh... 4 different doctors agreed to that but not MY doctor. My anxiety was through the roof, 2 deaths in 4 days & another since & now I feel just fine (including anxiety in check) so I'm avoiding doctors, sticking to my healthier diet/water plan because that is helping me lose weight. Anything "borderline" can be attributed to the fact I'm 70 now. It was a crazy few months. I need a lady doctor, one that won't feel the need to freak me out. I know he was just trying to cover all his basis but he made me a lot worse before I got better on my own just changing my mind set & diet. I'm avoiding him! Anyone else dread new doctors?
@RianShafer I found a good FEMALE naturopath MD and she is awesome. I will never go back to mainstream for many of the reasons u stated. One of the best decisions I have ever made.
I turned 67 in May and was diagnosed with kidney failure in the ER in early June. I had been sick for months, but didn't HOW sick until that moment. I was shocked and thought I was dead within days. After two and a half weeks in an excellent hospital, and multiple dialysis treatments, I am so glad to be ALIVE. I will listen to my doctors and do my best to live as long and well as I can. I wish everyone here the best and may we all see 80 and older.

We were talking about our ages, she said she'd love to be 52 again. And I said, I hope I make it to 72. We surmised it's best to embrace our ages and enjoy it while we're at it!
