Lighting system, ABS, GPS tracker, turn indicators - there are more and more practical accessories for modern e-bikes. However, this only works with sufficient power connections - either to the motor or battery. Bosch has developed the Component Connector including matching battery cables for precisely this purpose. This allows you to create additional high-power port connections on your Smart System e-bike. You can find out exactly how this works in this tutorial.

This is amazing. Can I get a connector that then converts the port to a USB A connection so I can connect my innov K6 dashcam to it?

Hello, thank you for your kind comment. At the moment Bosch does not offer any additional cables for USB connections. In general, you can buy a corresponding USB socket and connect it to an open HPP cable. Sufficient knowledge of electrical engineering is probably required here, however.

I’ve a Riese Muller Delite4 Rohloff with the Bosch smart system, it’s already equipped with gps connect module, abs, front and rear light. I want to add a Garmin Varia ETRL615, what do I need to do in order to power this additional accessory and is it possible? Thanks

Hello, thank you for your comment! From what I found for the Garmin Varia, it is only compatible with the previous Bosch generation (Bosch Gen.2). This means it cannot be connected to Smart System bikes. Here I recommend getting in touch with Garmin directly: support.garmin.com/en-GB/

How can we enable the power ports ourselves? I don't want to pay I think the light is disabled for my Cube bike and i want to put front light on it.

Hi, unfortunately, there is no way to enable the ports by yourself. The Bosch eBike diagnostic software is required for this and, as far as I know, it is only available to dealers. If you have any suitable equipment for the port, you can try to connect it to test if it works. This means it is already enabled. If it does not work, you would have to look for a dealer. I am sure that there are some who do it for free or for a small fee. It might be worth contacting multiple dealers. Hope this helps!

I have a question, sometimes it happens that the smart control shows an orange color, the bike moves, but you can't turn on the assistance. It has to be turned off and on again, any advice?

Hi, That sounds like a technical problem. Have you already tried reconnecting the system controller to your control unit? It may also help to check the display cables and reconnect them. You are welcome to contact our customer service at info@ebike24.com.
