How did the adc do less dmg then the support
A common adc (and often cait) issue is that people build lots of attack speed and no AD. People forget that yes, you can attack 3 times a second, but if each attack only does 10 damage, what is the point. Some ADC have better AD scaling or %hp damage, like vayne or kog, so they don't need damage as much and can go full attack speed... silly caits building dumb basically.

Burst AP Jax, with electrocute, Nashor's tooth, lich bane and night harvester. Or bruiser AP Jax with Conqueror, Riftmaker, Sterak's Gage and Demonic Embrace
Strangely, building AP items instead of tank items tend to give a lot more AP faster.

i once had 3.5k ap on veigar in aram started so bad had 0/15 kda but then something happened XD and i had 3.5k ap and 33/17 kda and i was oneshotting tank chogath just with my Q it was insane
