I just watched all the 8 Episodes of “ After I do : The story of Steffi and Jessy.” 2 years after it was recorded.
The whole story touched me and I am wondering where this couple is today and how they are dealing with all their marriage issues.
I really loved the way the couple was open and decided to share their story. They were very Franck and spoke their feelings.
In case the couple is still struggling I would like to share the following:
    1. Marriage is a divine institution established by God (Genesis 2:18). This institution has principles which should be followed.
After searching for therapists, family and friends’ advices, how about trying God’s way of doing things?
    2. I believe Jessy is not mentally unstable as he has been led to believe (Ephesians 5:23). His vulnerability is caused by the fact he spoke from within his soul.
    3. Steffi is a very strong, focused and supportive wife but sometimes life requires us to sacrifice one thing at the expense of another. (career vs marriage)-(Matthieu 6:24)
If she can’t quit her career, she should learn how to cook.
A man is meant to be a provider and protector. If he is forced to be otherwise, he will for sure depress.
A woman is meant to be a helper. If she is not playing her role the man will definitely get lost and feel not supported.
I wish this couple the very best and please don’t stop looking for ways to make your marriage better.
I have learnt that it’s a school of life.
The best advice I can give is to always take your burdens to Jesus and he will lead you to the right and peaceful pathways.
    (Psalms 32:8)
