I agree I found this song by looking up Brandon Saller list of songs, I like clean vocals with a metal sound to it, trying to find more songs like that, like most times of grace songs, some killswitch engage song and I'd say half of lead sails paper anchor album since that had a lot of clean vocals

Watching the band and Alex grow over the years, to see him say I am a father brings tears of joy to my eyes even now. I'm still so proud of him, even if he isn't a part of Atreyu anymore. He is one of my biggest role models since I was 15 and I'm gonna be 30 in a few weeks😭

those are fairweather fans. it's atreyu's music to change and evolve the way they see fit. too many people are confused by the bottleneck in creativity that most bands' careers go through because of the time it took them to be discovered. i think they're really more compelled by their impression of a band than the way they sound or whether its even honest expression or manufactured for convenient consumption. i think i would rather hear honest expression that sucks than any song someone wants to sell me. atreyu fuckin' rocks.
sadly, it's catering to those shallow, more fickle ears that actually builds their wealth and hopefully affords them enough freedom to disappoint and confuse us with their art.

This song is amazing. The simplicity of it and the powerful meaning behind the lyrics make the song that much better. Saw them live back in October and was impressed with them. They are amazing live and really interact with their audience. The drummer has a great voice contrasting with the growling. Beautifully done gentlemen.

When i was ten about 10 years ago i heard Becoming the Bull for the first time and it was one of my favorite tracks until i stopped listening to rock at about 12. Just recently after 8 years i felt the motivation to dig up all my old tunes and dig a little deeper than i could before youtube was big... Atreyu was/is one of the ONLY bands to make me get back into rock/metal. Thank you guys for reinspiring my decade long lost faith in "real music!!!!!!!!!!!!"

it isn´t always about fast complex riffs etc. what makes a song sound great..... sometimes the simplest riffs, drums makes a outstanding song, but for the win is the beautiful voice from the drummer !

I think Atreyu have always been fluid with their style, every album is subtly different yet still has their core sound. That said you're entitled to your opinion. Already got tix to see them again in Dec and can't wait
+Thomas white i agree with you 100% but the problem is they problem make 100x more amount of money with soft songs like this that can be played on the radio and also, they open themselves up to double the amount of listeners cause this is the type of shit girls listen to. suicide note and butterfly kisses was amazing though, the whole reason i got into the hardcore scene / metalcore to this day. i never was a scene kid but i went to all the shows and slam danced my ass off to many good bands from that era. the bled - pass the flask, unearth - oncoming storms, bleeding through - this is love, this is murderous, every time i die - hot damn!, walls of jericho - all hail the dead!, from autumn to ashes - the fiction we live, the devil wears prada - plagues, dead to fall - everything i touch falls to pieces / villainy and virtue, as i lay dying - frail words collapse / shadows are security, evergreen terrace (anything by them), norma jean/the chariot, the black dahlia murder, veil of maya, roman circles, and im sure there is others im missing but its early and i cant think. you really should check out dead to fall if ya never listened to them, their first two albums are my favorite of all time. everything i touch falls to pieces / villainy virtue..i highly suggest you check those out thomas white..they never really got that big, just a local chicago band where im from born n raised. both albums are on youtube, checkem out please if you like any of the albums/bands i listed here. last thing ill say, give up on atreyu man, we have to accept they sold out and want to make money. i dont blame them, they probably have mouths to feed but stick to your roots, there are plenty of bands that didnt sellout for the money. i can help ya out with some more bands ive been listening to lately that put out new music / stick true to their roots. born of osiris is another chicago band that is putting out dope music 24/7. also, ive been digging winds of plague lately, i never got into them till few months ago.

+Stephanie Lucas if you enjoy the softer singing by the drummer, you should check from autumn to ashes. their drummer has one of the best singing vocals ive ever heard, also, i know the main vocalist is gonna ruin it for you but the best back up clear vocals ive ever heard is in a band called the devil wears prada. but check out these two songs, i bet my ass they will be your favorite band after listening to the clear vocalist..from autumn to ashes - lilacs & lolita then from autumn to ashes - the after dinner payback ..with the devil wears prada listen to anything off their first album or the second one plagues. id suggest listening to anything off plagues, the devil wears prada - number three, never forget , the devil wears prada - html rulez d00d , and lastly the devil wears prada - hey john, whats your name again? and ill throw in one more, the devil wears prada - reptar, king of the ozone. let me know please what ya think. im thinking you'll dig from autumn to ashes but not devil wears prada, the clear vocalist has the best singing voice but the main vocalist is going to be too heavy for you.
