Brand New! KONE Escalator :: Bayshore MRT Station.

This is a first for KONE in 13 years since 2011 for installing escalators at MRT stations! It’s interesting to note that only this new segment(and the next) of the Thomson East-Coast Line(TEL) are using KONE, all other TEL stations are using OTIS.

*P.S I haven’t been on this segment of the TEL 4 during peak hours so I’m unable to confirm (from my own point) if these escalators run at high speed during peak hours! If they do, please let me know in the comments below, and I’ll update the description!
UPDATE: I found the time to visit TEL 4 during peak hours, and I’m pleased to announce that yes they do! These escalators also run at 0.75m/s during peak hours! The description has been updated to confirm this discovery.

These TransitMaster escalators look different from the older ones at Esplanade MRT Exit E & NorthPoint City; the end plates have less rounded corners & no enlarged black area around the handrail in/outlets
