You could see the difference in pace and length from that International - must have looked harder from the batsmans POV! Great effort guys but at least you kept your wickets in hand for the draw. I also agree about the ball watching on the run out - it happens. Onwards ever onwards :)
Nice knock from the opener Haines, thought he was relentless and determined, interesting option to do declaration bowling coming on first change as well

Good game in extremely windy conditions. Draw a fair result. Good catch too. Those are the difficult ones, when you have more time to think. Good innings too and good batting against their spin. Alot of rain about there at present. Hope it clears up for saturday

I'ts not even the fact Lister is a touch quicker but its more the consistency of line and length with the odd bumper which is tougher, at this level most bowlers just aren't consistent enough.

Never faced an international cricketer in league cricket before. Nice draw in the end, looked like at one point TB were going to come out a lot worse off.

Will Beer bowling for you, you know you’ve got a good side
The kiwi bowls too short in general. You don’t get club cricketers out bowling hip high length. They miss more than they hit. Needs to be a yard fuller.
Heard a very similar story about a South African called John During. Played first class cricket in SA and joined my club Marlow for a season. He bowled that first class length outside off and guys just couldn't get a nick. In the end they told him to bowl straighter at the stumps!

It is up to the team bowling second to bowl the oppo out.
Where are you guys standing now in the league? You did a good job limiting the influence of the opening bowler, who I’m sure you said played for NZ’s A team (which does not make him an international as some seem to think) but your right handers in particular, need to use their feet against off spinner’s to break up length and score down the ground. No off spinner should ever be allowed to dictate. Good luck for the next one and for some brighter weather.
