Then there's the classic dumbass Joe Rogan Comment Section posts that just say: "Joe 'Insert something Joe said' Rogan." And for whatever reason, people find it just absolutely hilarious and worthy of an up-vote. Meanwhile, if you dare write more than 2 or 3 sentences and begin to inch toward writing an entire paragraph or two on something that's actually pertinent to what's being discussed in the video, well, first of all, you're likely to be ignored, secondly, most people probably never see you comment because it's buried beneath all the "Jocko looks like Tito Ortiz/Matt Damon on Steroids" comments and the classic "Joe 'Why do people actually still do this shit after it stopped being funny 2 years ago' Rogan," and finally, they will become upset and insult you and call you names for writing too much when they see they would actually have to read. My grandfather was in the war for 3 years. 5 purple hearts and lost 2 toe's from frost bite. Mad respect for that generation. You didn't get any break's then
Such a valid point. We are so driven by emotion and ego in politics, that we overlook basic realities like this.
This is one guy I have a lot of respect for. Very clear and intelligent communicator. Thanks for your service, brother.
I think I saw this dude on the cover of a few games for the 360

Gears of War,The Witcher, Ghost Recon, Crysis, Dark Souls

I love how respectful Joe is when his guests are talking about things he doesnt have any first hand experience with. He never interrupts people like Jocko when speaking on serious subjects he'd only be able to give an outsider's perspective on.
Sounds like Jocko took extreme ownership of this podcast
Every incoming soldier, sailor, and marine should read the words of General Smedley Butler so that they know exactly what they're really signing up for.
You are ON POINT! War is a racket should be read by every highschool student, at least everyone that wants to join the military.
Oorah
From someone who has spent a good amount of time fighting in wars and comes from a military family this is an amazing look at war and it DEAD on !!
Loved this episode of the Jacko Willink Podcast
powerful words. Very well said. Love Jocko.
That was the shortest 7:57 of my life and yet I learned more about Middle Eastern conflict in this one video than I did through all media networks on television
Hope this guy is our Secretary of Defense one day.
Not only a tremendous soldier but an amazing mind as well! Thank you Jocko
I got so much respect for this guy. A true warrior and leader. He got his heart at the right spot, but on the other hand you certainly don’t want to be in the enemy team when you fight this guy on the battle field 😄
We love you Jocko
He looks like Matt Damon on steroids.
Matt damon is Matt damon on steroids
I thought mark walberg was Matt damon on steroids.
Clearly not Matt Damon this is Tito Ortiz
Human growth hormone damon 😂😂😂😂 he looks a spit of tito ortiz tho lol he could be his body double llolll
Jocko is the real Jason Bourne.
This is the most passionate I've ever seen Jocko. God damn man
This was super intense and interesting for 7 in the morning haha
Thank You Sir!!!!
"You have to be willing to KILL, and you have to be willing to DIE"
Jesus Christ lmao
If ur gonna serve in uniform you should learn these things and accept these things. Because once u flip the switch it doesnt get flipped again until ur at that yellow ribbon event being deactivated
The fact that you find that fact incredulous tells me you are in fact a pussy...
There a saying in the military
When you signup for boot camp basic training
You are signing your death certificate
I don’t get what’s “lmao” about that.
@@neighbor-j-4737 and you're not?
Jocko is one of few Guests that Joe will never interrupt, respect 🙏
Thank you for buying the gunpowder my family supplies you and your boys with 🙏💪🔥💯
As a former paratrooper This is one of the most important talks I’ve heard in a long time. Make sure the sacrifices were worth it.
Not trying to shit on you or other static jumpers, but why the hell do we still have a static program? 10% injury rate is considered a success and it's archaic military doctrine that worked once if you ignore how many people died trying to get them there.
The US has never had an exit strategy.
Jocko gives an epic speech about war..
Joe rogan fans.. hA! hE lOOks lIkE tItO ORTEEz!!
Haha right on
Rite!!?? It was so le epic!!! Wake up sheeple!!!!
Thomas O'Toole -- That's what I hate about comment sections in general: everyone posts stupid, inconsequential bullshit that really has nothing to do with the topics being discussed during the video/clip. And what's worse is, those shitty comments are the comments that somehow get the most likes, and since the most popular comments get pushed up top, all we get to see are comments written by imbeciles who got nothing out of the clip besides pointing out how Jocko looks like the guy from Call of Duty or Matt Damon or Tito Ortiz.
Because reading is apparently some difficult and mentally strenuous task for so many of today's kids who are 25 years-old and younger.
Stop acting like this thick headed Jocko dipshit is profound. Everything he says is common sense. Nothing groundbreaking. But he says it in this way like he's really treading new mental frontiers. He's a blowhard and so are you if you aren't already well aware of the concepts he presents.
@@Natef89 So why do so many successful millionaires and Athletes love and follow him then? He's owns multiple company's. One were other company's pay alot of money for him and leif Babin to improve there business.
He's also a navy seal officer, that came up from enlisted. So what is it that you don't find legit about him?
The fact you came straight of the bat, calling him a "dipshit" doesn't really indicate to me that you're one these positive successful people.
Love listening to Jocko. Doesn’t sugarcoat a damn thing!!!!!!
When Jocko arrives to class late, the teachers and students actually arrived to class early
Na
Never seen a clip that long where Joe didn't say a word. Incredible!!
Look at this guy bruh!!!
Huh???
Did you see the Edward snowden interview.
If it was my first day in a SEAL team and I see Jocko as my superior, I'd stop being nervous instantly. Dude is rock solid both mentally and physically.
The ending metaphor regarding street fighting was well put
Man this is just as relevant now as then
More relevant than ever rn...
“ The strongest decisions require the strongest wills.”
2021 is like AWE we should listen to jocko
Jockos such a beast, i wish i had leadership like that while i was in the military. Dont get me wrong ive had many different good leaders who ultimately helped me better my life, but that dude is on another level mentally.
Highly recommend his book Extreme Ownership
Einstein: “I don’t know what weapons might be used in World War III. But there isn’t any doubt what weapons will be used in World War IV.”
Guest: "And what are those?"
Einstein: "Stone spears."
wow you got that all kinds of fucked up but I get the jist
What if that's already the case? What if we already had many world wars, not just 2 but humanity has been reset many times as a result? Okay, I'll put away my tinfoil hat, ignore this comment.
"sticks and stones" is the actual quote
That's profound. Damn. He's right
@@kursor52 this has happened, but we were wiped out by asteroid impacts rather than war.
One of your better pod casts
I go to sleep comfortable knowing there are men and woman like Jocko and Gabbi who defend the land I live on.
We should consider not dying, because this hardcore so no respawns.
there are respawns, depending on what religion you are
Just issue self revives, just don't let them thirst you
Gold knockdown would be perfect.

Well said JOCKO 🙏 thank you for your leadership and service 🇺🇸❤️🙏
This is such a good speech. I hope every politician listens and heads his counsel
