      Because EU does not produce weapons(as in war economy). EU is not involved 100% in this war. NATO is not boots on the ground in this war. Putin lies to his men about Russia fighting NATO when in fact Russia is fighting mainly against donated old soviet dusty weapons.

      Before the war, when’s the last time you noticed a European head of state posing for photos with military-grade weapons, or giving speeches about weapons capabilities? Russia, Iran, N. Korea, etc. heads of state and public officials get off on that stuff. Huge portions of their budgets are spent on weapons manufacturing, and they’re always participating in weapons testing and military exercises. While we think of our education, career, vacations, personal goals, business and innovation, etc., they think about different ways to kill people, and build weapons to do it.

    • @MausTheGerman
      @MausTheGerman Před 3 měsíci +2

      Autocratic regimes can do whatever they want with their industries and labor force. If they want to let their whatever factories produce weapons, they do it. In democratic countries it’s not that easy. Government can’t easily control what the industry is doing. Which is for sure a good thing in „normal“ times. If a democracy is actively in a state of war, like Israel, things look different.

      Russia also offered to join NATO. However, Russia received a negative answer. Obviously NATO is pursuing the goal of destroying and plundering Russia. Ukraine is just one of the instruments of NATO’s war with Russia. The attack by Ukraine on the Donetsk and Lugansk Republics in 2014 only confirms all my statements.

    I think Clark was avoided the time issue for a potential Russian attack on Europe. It could happen in say 3 to 5 years. So Europe need to increase defence spending. But you will not winn with money lone. You need weapons, personel and traning. Most modern weapon will have a six year timing from order to use. It tkes round six yers to train a jet fighter pilot, etc. it will take at least 10 years for Europe to be able to defend them self. Russia know this and will not wait. Without USA defense Europe can not manage this.

    General Clarke, another great American general. You know I sometimes wonder if people realize what they truly get, in terms of expertise, with American support.
    An example: If I remember correctly, it was General McCaffery when meeting with his Chinese counterpart asked him directly. Are you sure you wish to challenge the US in a war. "I've got 80 battle hardened senior officers behind me." What do you got? Exactly.
    In terms of command. With the US military you get the undisputed C&C, total command of the battlefield and incomparable surveillance and monitoring capabilities. (a capability that saves Ukraine daily) An air combat capability that exceeds any other or combination of any other. Undisputed mastery of the oceans and a Navy that could take on everyone at once and win. etc.
    The difficulty we are having is that the European nations with the exceptions of Britain, the Nordic states and Poland, was yet again totally unprepared for an attack on Europe. most European states didn't even have the ordnance to fight for 3 days. We still can't ship a mere battalion thru eastern Germany to the Baltics or answer an attack from Kalingrad because the Germans won't build the infrastructure to handle it. The French horde their weapons and think only of themselves. And so on...
    It is not that the US won't defend Europe. American citizens are in agreement on this. (Forget and stop whining about trump. he won't be around much longer) But up to now it has mainly been the US paying for most things on top of the fact it costs us billions just to run exercises in Europe.
    We will shortly reach a time where the US will supply all I described but the boots on the ground will have to be European. Who better to defend a land than the people who own it.
    (And you better hope Europe didn't mistreat the British too much because you'll definitely need them. Dearly.)

      How can we handle the Russian bots who have totally taken over message boards about Putin and Ukraine since the death of Navalny. I propose a law. If you take away one bot account, a hundred more instantly replace them. Do not remove them. Label them. Say from such-and-such's troll farm, or AI. Being creative, we could leave up those bot-covered videos and respond to them solely with US-created AI. They'd be unreadable. You know the bots are trying to make us give up. They sure aren't harmless. I'm doing my bit by posting everywhere and making these boards at least a little readable.

      Yes. Artillery shells can be delivered quickly and used immediately. If they get a supply of artillery shells it will immediately slow the Russian attacks and reduce Ukrainian casualties. It will also increase Russian casualties. Russian losses for the Avdiivka battle according to Russian sources were 15,000 men and 200 armoured vehicles, Western sources put the numbers much higher. The Russian number is as many men as the Soviets lost in Afghanistan in 10 years. If Ukraine has enough artillery shells the Russian losses will be significantly higher.

    Well 2 years ago saying Russia is poor & weak country with GDP like a Texas, it's economy would collapse within a month, and so on ... now saying Russia will _undoubtedly_ continue if it wins over Ukraine. Lots of present population finally mastered doublethink. So the world doesn't need to solve pollution, deforestation, clean energy, mental health, sanity and increasing gap between technological advance and a slow social/psychical progress , ... - no, it needs more guns, jets, missiles, tanks, artillery and most of all - continues American hegemony and influence all over the world. Elites nowadays are just crazy and out of any sense - unable to cope with the fact that if the whole humanity hasn't change and FAST, we will all parish. Or the most powerful ones are so old, that they know that they won't be a part of the future anyway, so they don't care the world will fall with them.

    Hi CZcams.. Please don't delete my comment for using nuke .. I'm a doctor and I feel sympathy for Ukraine ... Ukraine sometimes look a lot like a patient diagnosed with terminal end stage cancer , at that point , we usually let the patient choose to Fight with any available treatment or choose just palliative care which means patient will soon die ... Now Ukraine is choose "To.l fight" despite knowing the fact that Russia will use nuke at some point or when Russia is about to be defeated, .. as Ukraine choose to Fight, it also now have prolonged suffering just like terminal cancer but Ukraine still choose to Fight against all odds , against all the suffering, with all available support although it is moving gradually towards nuke war at the end😢stay strong Ukraine 💪💪
