Love the positive reinforcement, B! Watched the Robbie Capito vs. Fedor Gorst match live today. Great set. I’d love to see you do more match analyses. I love your feedback on high quality matches. Food for thought. Cheers, my friend!

When I am in a slump, I do a pair of practice drills my dad taught me as a kid. I'm 70 .

4:43 to 5:41 was refreshing to hear, and it would make a great short!! I see it all better with my head just a little higher and its nice to hear that there's nothing wrong with that👍👍

Great video 🎉. We all need a bit of truth from our coach to help push us into a better place.

Slumps in pool and downswings in poker. They get tackled the same way. Back to the basics and play through it. Take time off. Then get back to the basics and play through it.
    Good fundamentals simplify recovery.

I really like your videos. I made pools cues for several years when I was younger and got a job at Joss Cues. I really fell in love with the game. I've always loved learning the skills of the game and these videos are really helping me get back into the game! Thanks!

Great video. Going to send it to the opposing Captain on the league Captain group text if we win on Monday!!! He's always giving unsolicited advice, and criticism. Providing his last place team with an excellent guide for dealing with a slump is the least I can do for him. hahahahaha

Slumps SUCK!!! : ) Ya gotta shoot through 'em! Slow it down and go back to the basics if necessary. Oh, and when Practicing ---> Shorter sessions with good result are much more beneficial than rushing through with lesser result!!! #Facts Love it!!! Be Safe

Good timing for me with this topic, though in my circumstance it's not necessarily a slump.
I've been going to a pool coach for about three months, (certified, as you have pointed out the difference many times), and my brain is scrambled.
He sort of broke down everything. Stance, stroke, pre-shot routine, breathing... even wearing a glove versus not.
I practice at home every day from running racks to drills. My table is covered with different colored reinforcement labels for different drill setups. I do pretty well with all of this... at home.
In the beginning things were going well in both my 8-ball and 9-ball league matches, but lately not so much. I go into the match thinking, "I pity the person I play tonight" to halfway through wondering what happened. Not getting tromped but losing by a little none the less. I feel like I'm thinking too much?
So after this long rant do you recommend a video or two to address this?
Thank you in advance, appreciate your channel.

I want you to spend some time each day before you play a match visualizing yourself winning. This should help

I have just had neck surgery to repair a ruptured disc. I am about to try to play as my team is in APA finals. My problem is I cannot yet get down on the cue. I have to play higher up. I am an APA 6. Any advice on this?

    • @FXBilliards

Obviously, you want to try to get in some reps before you play and I do recommend taking more time on the shot and using less side spin as you won’t be seeing the ball the way you normally do- good luck with everything
