An old video of a crew fighting flames on a ship has been shared in social media posts that falsely claimed it showed the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower after missiles fired by Yemen's Huthi rebels struck the aircraft carrier in the Red Sea in May 2024.
The video circulated shortly after Yemen's Huthi rebels claimed that they had launched a missile attack on the US aircraft carrier the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower in the Red Sea on May 31, 2024. Washington has not confirmed the aircraft carrier was targeted.
Helicopters from Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 3 combat a fire aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6).

There is a difference between CVN-69 (USS Eisenhower) VS LHD-6 (USS Bonhomme Richard). Now, if you look carefully at the video of the fire, you ONLY see the number 6. Yet, look at the Eisenhower, you see a big 69. Besides that, the ship on fire smaller, the island is in a different location. Just a little critical thinking would have prevented you from sounding like an...well, I'll be polite and not finish that thought.

Look at the ship on fire. That is much smaller than Eisenhower. Anyway numerous US Carriers have experienced fires before. This fire is onboard a ship in port. The pier can be seen, as its boiler funnel spewing black smoke. Not a nuclear powered ship. Houthis are full of lies. These photos are from the Bon Hom Richard fire. The fire cause, is still under investigation.
