Just a tip: Blarla - who works for Two Point Studios - has a series on this and she noticed that only 8 students can go into any classroom at a time. So limiting the number of students who can enroll during the summer is probably a good idea. I think it mostly helps with limiting failures.
One thing I'm seeing is with the amount of plants you have your janitors are having to go around and water all of them increases the janitor work load so you have to hire more. Just a thought, playthrough has been great so far though, Cheers!
Great point! In Two-Point Hospital, I learned to choose items for beautification that didn't have to be watered as you didn't have to have as many janitors. But here in this first university, you don't have as much choice since there are not as many options unlocked yet.
As a former cashier one of the most beautiful quotes from any game I've played will always be one of TP Hospitals announcement "We apologize for the litter, that you dropped on our floors."

In general, that method of giving the player notifications was genius. Entertaining, part of the world, no fifty exclamation marks at all times...
As a general feedback to your building style: please no more long hallways into nowhere and maybe more rectangular than square rooms if you want to go for above minimum size. Those huge empty squares always look a bit weird and unwieldy to me.
I also think many smaller dorms and such would work better than a bigger, central one. Prestige will be easier to come by the more items you unlock, so size shouldn't have to be a big source of prestige anymore. Minimizing travel time is probably the biggest and most important challenge, especially on bigger maps.

38:00 I dunno if someone mentioned it, but obviously students spend multiple years (I think the game assumes 3) at university, meaning that each course grows the amount of students it has because you get new applicants before any had a chance to graduate. You university can in fact shrink over time too if you take less applicants in later years.

Enjoying the game, thanks for posting! I liked the ending most, when you encouraged the student, and would love to see a bit more comment like that, with the wacky names and such.
As for improvement suggestions, maybe have eating benches close to the spots with food (vending, carts). You also need more dorms I think, I believe it was something like each bed can take 4 or 5 students' needs? Use more posters on corridors and less plants, cause plants need watering which blocks your janitors from other jobs. You can try to have each building be dedicated for each course and stop the other students from using the facilities (like toilet, dorm) to reduce the need for running between buildings too much. Also, think about a small tutor room for students that need extra help!
I know this video is already a few months old but I just wanted to take the time to let you know I've really been enjoying this playtrough. It's the first couple of videos i'm seeing from your channel but they are really good and I've been binging this series so far every free time I get. That symbol means that students are waiting their turn, as Morgane said above, yeah. And I explain my decision to ignore the career goal rewards in the next episode, right at the start!

One thing you can do for more Kudosh is unlock some of your career goals. They do not disappear, only it goes up for the next level to unlock.

My campus was literally dying and I had no idea what I was doing in this game😅 kudosh and course points are pretty hard to come by in this game but Im almost at 3 stars thanx to your guide😀😀 for the tutorial lol

Random, but, I feel you have a really good talking speed without sacrificing comprehension. Previous gameplays of Two Point Campus I've watched I've had to play on 1.25x speed cause they spoke too slowly and/or with captions because they were difficult to understand. You narrate quickly (but not TOO quick) whist annunciating well with good volume - it really helps someone like me who's hard of hearing but can't stand slow playthroughs! 😊 Subscribed!

Only just started watching so not sure if you do this later - but why not stick the living arrangements in a new building on one of the grass areas as that is close to everything and you can make it a dedicated a living area? Also you are having problems with people waiting to use the kitchen - maybe another fridge in the next level? loving it though!

Why not have the dorm and facilities in the center building? Then each of the classes in the perimeter buildings are equidistant.

Having watched further into the video. I don't think you're claiming your rewards for the career achievements. It might have got you some of that much needed Kudosh. (Apologies if I'm missing something there)
I'm so happy that you're willing to go the extra step of getting a near-perfect (nothing's ever perfect 😁) placement in the dorms. However, could you adopt the same mindset to improve your already good placement of classroom items? My OCD was kicking in during last episode when you were putting down the virtual normality machine.

I’m curious about why you aren’t accepting the career reward kudosh? Each reward has 3 levels I’m pretty sure, so even if you accept the kudosh, you’ll still have more to work toward. It’d make it easier to keep up with student requests and stuff, right?

The escalation makes sense I suppose. You wouldn't want just two professors dealing with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year students.
Seems like part of the environment problem on the quad is that there's frequently litter. I don't know if it's because of bin-blindness, or because the bins are all indoors, but it might help in the future to slap a few of those down near outdoor food stalls too.
Oh yeah the escalation 100% makes sense! And I do need to spread some of those bins about I think, yeah. Bin-blindness will still result in litter, but maybe less?

a few days late (as is the case most of the time) and you probably know it now anyway....but.. the more people have to share a dorm, the worse they feel about it.. playing many small dorm, instead of a big one, would change that. additionally you count your students wrong. you dont have 15 scientography and 12 virtual normality students,.. you have those in this year,.. year 1 and 2 have 12 each as well.. so your 20 man dorm is overcrowded allready.

Is there a sandbox mode? how long would this game last?
In two point hospital there’s an “endless” mode, so I’ll bet there will be one for this game too. If I remember correctly, you can set it to the lowest difficultly for infinite money (sandbox mode, essentially.)
i think it would depend if you want to get all the stars for all the levels.
Yep there's a sandbox mode! The length of the game is variable for sure - one star is easy enough to get, but they get exponentially harder to acquire per star, per level. So it depends on if you're a completionist or not!
