I am a retired dental hygienist. I actually like those whitening products. Baking soda (brush) and hydrogen peroxide rinse are super inexpensive, effective stain removal agents as well. 💖

One thing I think that isn't talked about enough is lip SPF. The lips are super susceptible to sun damage and very few people regularly use spf lip care daily like they do sunscreen on their face. Not only does it reduce the risk of cancer of the lips, you will preserve your natural volume and firmness longer.

I haven't even started getting fine lines yet. Remember, it's 30-somethings that were often playing teenagers in films.

I tried plexaderm. It worked but it dried out my skin so badly that it took a very long time of moisturizing to get my skin back to normal. It took weeks before my skin was okay.
I had to get two bridges crossing 11 teeth due to genetic abnormalities (peg lateral, missing lateral and three canine, and very sharp, pointed adult teeth)...so happy with the more human looking smile now
FWIW: I bought a six-application size of the Plexaderm and it arrived yesterday. I just put it under my eyes and I'm stunned! This stuff DOES work! My under-eye area is tight as a drum. It feels WEIRD but it looks amazing! So far, no irritation or anything. I just used a teeny tiny amount, so there is enough product for more than six days.

Just ordered the sample size! I'm 56 years old next month. I had a facial last week and she said that I have great skin for my age. Barely any wrinkles....all except those bags and puffiness that drive me crazy! I cannot wait to try. And I'm getting in my car right now to run to Walgreens for the lip plumper lol. And gonna get my eyebrows done!

I'm having a great time with this stuff. You only need a tiny amount, even less than what it shows on the directions. I've also noticed that it doesn't last 10 hours as claimed, but it still gives you a decent amount of time.

Hi Dr. Youn, do you preform the lower eye blepharoplasty using a transconjunctival approach with fat repositioning? I have heard that this is a better procedure because it doesn’t leave any scars. And the repositioning of the fat addresses the eye trough and hollowing like a fat transfer. I think this sounds like a much better procedure than removing the fat. Because later you can be left with eye hollowing or a sunken appearance over time. February 23rd 2023

I used plexiderm for puffy eyes. I worked a 7 am flt from JFK. Another flight attendant asked me what happened to my eyes? She said there were clumps of white stuff under my eyes.looked in a mirror,and plexiderm looked terrible.i was embarrassed.never again!

I got excited when I saw this, cause come on, who doesn’t wanna look 10 years younger! By the end I stuck out my pouty bottom lip and said “damn, I already do all of that” lol! With the skin lightener, Musely works really great!

Thank you for confirming that lip filler hurts. I can take Botox without even flinching and I've never felt anything after I leave the office, but a half syringe of lip filler required a full day of icing and was sore for a week.

As soon as the plastic surgeou that consultet me told me that he adds lidocain which as a medical assistant I knew is an anesthetic, I knew it will hurt A LOT lol.
Like even just the lidocain itself burns. I did have some injections for accute backpain and it was not fun. But at least I know that my lip will be numbed from it to not hurt for the entire day. And I am glad that he uses numbing cream but that again doesn't always do much. Still can't wait for my appointment.
I’ve lightened my dark spots dramatically with vitamin C serum by Murad or Dr. Dennis Gross. Both work.

Coconut oil pulling does wonders for my teeth 🦷 and it does not damage anything. In fact everything feels cleaner and smoother after using. Takes some 20 mins once a week and you can do it while showering.
I’ve always wanted to try this! Do you have to swish it around for the 20 mins? It doesn’t take much to make my jaw hurt and the thought of swishing for that long is 🥹
@@pinkfeet518 yea so I take a shower when I am swishing but don’t spit it down the drain.
With that said, do your best. 5 minutes is good. The longer the more cleansing but we have to start somewhere 😊

@@pinkfeet518 oh yay! If you need to do less thats ok too. Work on it. It will strengthen your jaw btw. Also make sure you spit it out in the trash. It could clog your drains over time otherwise

An article came out that said plastic surgery only makes people look 3 years younger. I do look at pictures from a lot of plastic surgeons and I agree.
I personally think that it makes a lot of people look even older
I would recommend the "Listerine Advanced White" Mouthwash when it comes to naturally whiten your teeth. I asked my dentist about that product, and he said no problem if i can take it. Because all these toothpastes can damage your teeth, because of the abrasive ingredients. The mouthwash on the other hand does not damage your teeth it only removes the dental plaque.
I am also a Dental Hygienist and use Crest 3D white. I was skeptical at first but after the first tube, I really did notice the difference. But some people have thin or damaged enamel and I am hesitant to recommend anything abrasive.
Firstly, get a good teeth cleaning! No whitening system will remove ugly yellow tartar and thick cigarette or coffee stain! Then ask your hygienist what they recommend for your particular situation. Patience is also the key if you can't spend the big bucks for an in office treatment! Things you do at home WILL take longer. See them through and be patient.

My dentist told me that whitening is not the best for the teeth because it weakens the enamel and that their natural colour is not as white as the whitening procedure. However that does make sense for people who smoke, that's nice. :)
Hydroquinone is almost forbidden in my country, it's extremely difficult to get some and since last year, there's a new law about it so it might be totally forbidden now. 🙁

Been taking these supplements for years. They work really well. Take a before pic before you start.
Not only did my teeth became damaged by too much whitening- professional whitening, and whitening at home - my gums were damaged, to the point I can't get my teeth whitened or use whitening toothpaste. And the special toothpaste I have to use now discolored my teeth to a greyish color, that I've been told nothing can be done about that. I always took care of my teeth, HAD very nice teeth (just not too white naturally), and spent a lot of money. Now I rarely want to smile.
Should we not whiten them?
Check out the products made by Guru Nanda. His products are gentle and Ayurvedic. The coconut oil, for oil pulling, ( just swish a small amount for a few minutes, 2-10, every morning) did gently whiten my teeth & my dentist approved. Oil pulling has been around for a long time, and the ingredients in his products are few and pure. I bought it on Amazon.

Doc. What do you think about these Dépology patches? Apparently they are patches that contain tiny little darts that infuse nutrients under the skin under your eyes..
I have plexiderm, but the issue is. One can't put any makeup - even loose powder. It looks flakey and horrible.

Plexiderm does work but it dries in a matte finish, and leaves a white residue. So putting makeup on over it can be difficult
I have a better result mixing a bit of mineral foundation powder with it because using liquid foundation lessens the tightening effect.
