  • It's a government that has repeatedly found itself at odds with the European Parliament, Commission and other member states. Now Hungary is facing a delay in receiving approximately €7 billion from the EU's Covid-19 recovery fund. Hungary's Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó sits down with FRANCE 24's Catherine Nicholson to discuss those clashes and some of the issues behind them.

The Children Protection Law communicates one clear message - the deranged view that children should be protected from being educated about different forms of sexual orientation. @@ccgreene4144
Because the children should be protected from different form of sexual orientation.
If you want to introduce children to homosexuality in schools that is way more deranged because just like in America when a political party gets voters by promoting the lgbtq+ agenda and want to turn every possible children who have the tendency in their genes to become an lgbtq+ person so they can artifically grow their own voterbase on the long run by enforcing this agenda in schools and take away the right of the parents to raise their own child as they want, that is the sickest thing i can imagine.
Also, if you think that educating children about lgbtq+ in schools by laws is "progression" then you ignore the fact that a society cannot be set to change by force.
If your best argument is that lgbtq+ children will be exposed to bigotry, hatred and homophobia then you look at the problem from the wrong direction because you need to work on changing society fist and not just focusing on the next generation through education, the lgbtq+ children already made a very radical choice when they have chosen their way of life, it is their own choice what i support, but the bigotry and hatred what they have to face in the world is what only they can change, not a government or laws, you know, if you want society to accept lgbtq+ people then the lgbtq+ people HAVE TO create their own role models for living in society and being able to present themselves and their agenda for the common people, that is how you change the system and it is in their own hands.
If all people see is an lgbtq parade or pride day where lgbtq+ people are out of control, that is what the majority of people will associety with them, that is what should be changed in the first place.

This went from oh let’s just be kind and tolerant, to let’s tell everyone’s small children about gay sex and relationships and if you disagree you’re a bigot!
Then to young boys dressed in lingerie giving their Male teachers a lap dance in school, to kids as young as 4 being taken to a gay bar and kids also shown pornography in schools, to the now growing society of people who wish to normalize pedophilia.
Children are being targeted by predators as they have figured out the best way RECRUIT it is to sexualize little kids from an early age...whether that is physically or MENTALLY through so-called education.
A child’s mind cannot handle sexual things the way an adult or teenager can!
We can dismiss things as we have our identity settled (although teenagers are still in flux). Children have plastic minds. What you tell them they absorb and sometimes become them. Some children hear stories of superman and then claim to be superman.

Did you wake up one day and decide, 'hey, I think I am going to be straight?' I am certain you did not. A person is born with their sexual orientation. It is not a choice. In Ireland, we teach young people an open education where they learn that there are people in society who may be heterosexual or who may be homosexual etc. This is not to brainwash or indoctrinate or try to push any agenda on these young people. It is simply to help them learn that their are different forms of sexual orientation. That is simply it. And you know what, it is such a wonderful thing because maybe for that young person who is struggling to accept their sexuality, it may help them to think 'hey, I am perfect just the way I am. Hey, I am equal to everyone else and should not be discriminate for who I love.' Are you not frightened with the direction that your president is taking you on? I mean, you guys do not even participate in Eurovision any more because your government feel it is too LGBT. That is very very sad. I distinctly do not support the Left as it is expressing itself today for history has well-shown that tyranny can come as easily from the Left as well as the Right. My sexuality is as my eye color. It’s part of me, worth equal protection under the law as any other. There isn’t any agenda here except a human one - one deeply connected to Western civilized values. The invasion of others? Not ok. It needs to stop. No. This sentiment isn’t racist. I couldn’t care less what one’s skin color is any more than I care who one sleeps with. I care enormously about culture - ours.

@bd3n21 You are very much welcome. I am appalled by what the EU is demanding of its members. What was intended to be a trade organization has morphed into a bureaucratic monster which seeks now to strip of rights of sovereignty and the deeply meaningful amd historic character of each of its members - to me, a soviet-style, authoritative top-down dictatorship. I visited Hungary the first time when the Wall came down, and have returned at least three or four times. I cannot imagine the great Hungarian people would ever want to return to anything resembling the nightmare of that time.
Yes, while I am a proud gay man, I am dead-set against forcing my views upon anyone. I lead with my humanity, my humility and with the value I place on the individual and their character, not my sexuality. I’ve found that when one offers respect , it is almost always returned. Demand it? Well. That approach is an affront to everyone.
I am also frustrated that gay people are portrayed as having a uniform agenda. We don’t. I will defend your right to believe as you wish, to educate your children as you see fit, and to move through the world as you determine is best for you - as long as you don’t harm me, and I eagerly return the consideration and respect.
The world is a complicated place, but it’s not that complicated to navigate if we adhere to traditional values - particularly ones which underscore our right to live each of our lives - all of us - without interference or dictates from others who have no place to tell us what to do.
I’m a very sure you and I would be more than fine as neighbors.

I was taught it and it helped me understand my body and also that certain parts of me were "private" and that no one should touch them (until an adult and with consent)
Giving them knowledge helps protect them actually!
Do you people realise how many kids are sexually abused annually and it's almost always a family friend or family member....
Teaching kids about their bodies and what's right/wrong EMPOWERS them.
The problem is most parents don't want to talk about anything sexual with their kids and will happily ignore the topic, even if raised by the kid.
This is why sexual abuse of kids is rampant. Kids feel they cannot talk about their bodies, their feelings and their experiences.
The fact that all of you bigots fail to see the bigger picture is shocking!

But to say parents should be the one to teach their own children about homosexuality doesn't seem very smart either though, which is what he said. What about the close minded parents who give birth to children who are gay? Those children will never have a place to properly learn about their sexual identity and that it is ok for them to be gay.
I get the LGBTQI movement has gone way too far in many aspects (i once saw a drag queen coming to read for kids in the UK and ended up giving them a demo on how to twerk - absolutely disgusting), but this law seems like a blanket ban on the real issues of homosexuality etc. I grew up gay and my parents had no knowledge of homosexuality and I would have loved to have learnt about what homosexuality was etc. All within an educational limit ofcourse - not sure what pornographic aspect he is referring to. Porn has no place in school. This law will ofcourse negatively affect many gay children in the long run.

Kids have always been taught sex education!
The fact that all these bigots fail to see the bigger picture is shocking.
I bet many of you reading this have either been abused or know someone who was abused as a kid.... right!?
