    In Portia’s defense, Colin wasn’t courting Penelope so this really did feel something to be suspicious about as a mother. It was all so fast. Penelope was out late at night, came home, and didn’t even tell her own mother about it. She had to hear it from Whistledown, and in their time in the ton that can be seen as scandalous. Everything she pointed out before Colin stormed in was valid. From her point of view, she was concerned for her daughter and wanted to know what was going on. She should have had a better approach and asked Penelope questions to find out and understand vs expecting the worst. But really, given all she’s had hit her plate, I understand her worries and train of thought.

      In Pen’s defense she was still upset that all her mother cared about when Lord Debling left the ball was why he left and not how Pen was feeling. And also Pen had secured a wealthy man anyways so what’s the issue? But Portia was very valid in her feelings.

    This has been the best season so far in my opinion. I think the main reason is because we got so much honest dialogue in these last 4 episode! Pen &colin were each coming into there own as young adults & shared that with each other. In the previous seasons the entire focus was on romantic love but this season we got, bonding in friendship, repairing mother & daughter relationships; they explored so much ! I loved every second

      Completely agree. This season managed to give Penelope a full complete arc to her character and not just a romantic partnership. Penelope had a lot of inner turmoil, complicated household and family. I feel so satisfied with the way this season did justice to her character and story

    there's no one I'm more proud of than ELOISE. AND PORTIA Yes, EL had a selfish moment when she said Pen was using her, but otherwise and Portia was undermining Pen but they had Pen's back through and through ❤

      @rica3947 Před 12 dny +1

      wait what?! Eloise was so horrible and selfish in these episodes, it made me absolutely hate her character. she is a terrible friend to Cressida and she doesn't even care to support Pen in front of Colin - for example by explaining to Colin why Pen published again.

    • @user-mk9bs3ml8i
      @user-mk9bs3ml8i Před 12 dny

      @rica3947 ohhhh I didn't see it like that. Honestly, I do think she defended Pen when she said that she's more careful with her words now, and Colin said, "Don't you remember what she wrote about me" and honestly it's her brother and best friend I understand her her not wanting to take sides Just like she said before to Pen when she has no idea what to do now With the whole Collin being upset
      With Cressida, though I've got compassion for her situation, she allowed her num to write LIES about her family, at least with Pen. I do think she came to understand her reasons

    I am extremely satisfied with how the character development took place for Featherington women. I always said that Portia and Pen are really similar and I love how it was highlighted and how their relationship unfolded. I think this season was mostly about Pen not just Polin, because the Featheringtons deserved love and acceptance too from the viewers and it was heartfelt how it all unfolded. I loved the Dankworth Finch ball too. Polin in my eyes has been given a bit less of importance to set the stories for the next few parts. Few storylines / characters were abruptly cut off but I guess let's see. Also I didn't like the unnecessary gender swap....I'm all in for LGBTQ representation but not at the cost of story alteration. But otherwise I loved it. Also, justice for Benedict.

    I really enjoyed the season. But that entrapment line from Colly....that made me very mad. I wish Pen would've stood up for herself in that moment because it's so shitty to say to her when Portia threw that in Pen's face.

    Are we not going to talk about how Francesca reacted to seeing Lord Killmartin’s cousin?? She was totally tongue tied! I think next season may have a sub plot where Francesca is the one that goes through an awakening and may explore her sexuality. It’d be so sad and messy though because lord killmartin seems so perfect for her. Love triangle (or square?) between them and Eloise perhaps? Maybe she’d fall for the cousin too? Since Eloise is thought to maybe be queer. Thoughts?

    I love that Penelope’s speech to the ton was basically: “yeah I did that, and you would do it too for a check”. I loved that she stood on business and said I’m not giving up Lady Whistledown for you Colin. And I’m glad he did turn around but it took a bit too long for me, idk, like he was fine with her being LW for the last 15 minutes of the show that’s not what she deserves, she deserves someone who needs to put their ego and insecurity in check so the woman that he loves can be happy, especially when she gives you a valid reason as to why she wouldn’t give up Lady Whistledown: this is her career, her life’s work, women weren’t allowed to have that back then. Imo, after that speech from Pen is when Colin should’ve started to deal with the guilt from her words, then he discovers that, yeah, part of the reason he wanted her to give up Lady Whistledown was jealousy, that scene between him and Cressida should’ve been the full confirmation that it was jealousy. Afterward, Colin should’ve initiated the conversation between him and Penelope where he apologised to her for wanting to give up on her dreams, and Penelope should apologise afterwards for having him keep this huge secret from her family. An apology from both sides would’ve been more satisfying. Then we get the collective “I love you” from both of them, and Penelope. I just wanted Colin to be apologising at the same time Pen was. The speech at the butterfly ball should’ve been the “I love you with everything I am speech”. The original butterfly ball speech should’ve occurred during the scene in the study. But hey, as long as others are happy, I don’t want to rain on other’s parade for so long.

    This one was for me the best Bridgerton season. I wouldn`t say it was as good as Queen Charlotte, but as far as all three seasons of Bridgerton go - it`s absolutely this one for me. The main couple had so much personality both in and outside their romance, ACTUALLY interesting conflict we got to enjoy a complex form of female friendship. a great mother - daughter focused arc, the most satisfying ending and the best intimate scene because of its sweetness and awkwardness. The writing was as good as previous seasons, it was only distributed differently. Do I think it would`ve benefitted for one more episode?Sure. But we are getting more Polin in Season 4 and the only other drawback I could think of is that they could`ve done something with Benedict or sent him off somewhere for the season. Other than that?I think this season will be as beloved as previous ones, all it needs is time.

    I think it must be hard to try to please everyone. I have warch people say the angles were bad, it was a short scene, and there the opposite hehehehe i really like the empowerment of Penelope and loved Cressida, yeah she is a villain she could have done it differently but we understand why she is like she is. I really loved understanding a little more Portia's reasons to be like that and how she tried to be a better mom. What i didn't like is that i felt like we often didn't know what was going in Polins mind more so Colins mind and everything was kind of rushed i wish we could seem then more as a happy couple, in love and not with all the drama. Also the intimate scene feld like the editor was like mmm where sould i put this.. here it goes here hahaha like the timing didn't make sense? It was like it has to happen before he know the truth and before the marriage so put it there ...

    I also like the fact that they left Cressida a villain but I do believe one can actually change.
    There’s no human being so terrible that they can’t have a redemption arc. None of us are perfect. We’ve all been horrible to people at one point in our lives.
    Even the high and mighty Penelope that everyone is praising has literally ruined people’s lives through her work, regardless of whether they were true or not, it’s not everyone that likes their business being out there. Plus the fact that not every gossip is true.
    Please let’s give some grace to Cressida. They’re both villains, just that one does it in openly and one does it through a paper for money.

    oh! So no one realized the choppy cut scenes? The reused scenes as well.. we didn’t get much pen and Colin sex scenes like how they did it for Daphne and Anthony and of course our queen Charlotte. I will give credit for the lighting but we can be real here, the new producer or whatever she is really let us down with season 3. Collin’s character feels unreal and unlike him, Colin’s act was good like always but they way they made him seem was.. icky. The plot line was rushed, the side characters were having main moments while pollen was presented as the side characters, they sexualized Benedict this season and gave him the sex scenes when it’s not even his story yet.. they didn’t give us the love pollen story we deserve in my opinion, even the love bi intro with Francesca was just too rushed, we didn’t see lady danbry and pen get to be friends like in the books.. everything seemed so quick paced, idk I miss the old producer.
    I personally hate it when Netflix gives just drops the quality on a good show just because it grabbed such large audience. I miss the season 1 & 2 energy, it seemed as if the new producer had doubts on pollen bc we didn’t even get flashbacks on their childhoods on how they fell in love unlike how they’ve done flashbacks like anything and the duke when we can understand and start to relate on why the characters actions are the way that they are or gives us an understanding on what the goal is for them. We got none of that. I miss the old Bridgerton when it was at its peak, I’m a fan but this season was not it.

    I saw it last night. It was really good. I do think that Portia was concerned and didn’t trust it and I can understand but I like her coming around and trying to be supportive. I am looking forward to see a supportive Featherington family. I loved Polin and John and Francesca.
    Eloise gets the prieze of most self absorbed friend. You’ve been friends your whole life you didn’t see how she felt about Colin Marina saw it 4 seconds and Cressida saw it. Plus ignoring Cressida. I don’t blame Cressida she’s forced to marry who could be her great grandfather tried to make the best of it but he would make her act like they were living in the town on footloose. I would probably do the same and by our money it’s 350,000

    am i the only one who didn't like the sex scene? especially the part where Colin is like "it might hurt, I can't to anything about it, but it's just the first time" - first of all he SLAMS into her, so that's definitely something that can make it hurt more and like... he didn't have to do that? secondly, the whole "only the first time" thing is not real - the hymen is a myth and for many women sex can include painful sensations long after their first time. Ofc it makes sense that Colin doesn't know all that, but they still could have just not included the line about only the first time hurting, because like... how would he even know *that* (if it were true). But yeah mostly I found it offputting with which force and speed he entered her because...ouchy.
