With the mods ive made i haven't had trouble with the firing pins for months now. I out oil, once filled, in that space where the pin strikes the burst disc. I've found that i have one cartridge that leaks from that location. I am going to change the seal and see if that holds the pressure. Light strikes have been fixed by changing the spring inside the firing pin. All in all, i haven't had my pistol break apart when using. The issue is now finding a cartridge that holds
This right here is progress,I think the Defender still has potential, after all its faster to pull that out from concealment than my GK1.I never bought my defender to be my primary CC defense weapon,I only bought it to buy me enough time to reach into my backpack for the real airpower.
Yeah bro I'm working on a break barrel going for like a shotgun look where you pop those cartridges in along with the bullet and let it rip I mean it's a sawed-off shotgun though I'm working on a few different concepts at the moment actually so always fun to get in the garage and machine things peace love and light
I know it doesn't happen to this video, but something I did to my defender to prevent the situation where air goes back through the firing pin and pushes on the other one. I drilled a small hole in the frame in between one of the serrations for it to vent the air out.
I get good results filling to 30 MPa and letting them sit in a cup with water to check for leaks and i only get double shots with the 35 cal i feel like the 35 cal is no good in the defender might just have to change the slugs to hollow skirt style ones or just go lighter rounds instead of 115+ grains,i get no problems with the 410 shotshells 45 and 50 cal im guessing the style of slugs since they are hollow skirt style slugs so far over 40 shots of 50 cal with no failures and hoping it keeps going i got 2 defender v2 one is good and other one got a defective safety
I wonder if using nitrous instead of air would make a difference. When I use to own a tire shop, we would use nitrous because it would stay in in tires 3xs as long as air
@@bxgzxff2108 it’s the first multi round nitro pistion long machine. No air, comes with 10 round mags, works like a break barrel with out the reload. I see a lot of recommendations here for the GK1 and I absolutely agree. I have one too! But be careful you use the right ammo with a GK1 because if the ammo is too loose it can end up jamming the mag and you don't want that to happen in a self defense situation. GK1 is incredibly reliable and powerful for an air pistol but use good tight ammo. Good luck, stay safe.
so brett, i have thought about this for some time, and you know how i feel about the defender all around. like that double hiss of nothing right. well realisticly what is the power you are getting. now keep that in mind. now take a challenger pro .357 and remove the stock, in fact remove the hinge assembly and just have a pistol. now use a hacksaw and cut the barrel off right in front of the reciever. flush like. no need for a suppresser cause we defending ourselves we wat everyone to hear that we need assistance. now look at what you got, a desert egal sized handgun in .357 that after the loss of most of the barrel now gets 60-80 fpe (i dont know how much but that is my guess.)\ and you have a 8 shot mag and can shoot 3 mags reliably. now why in heck do you carry a defender? after hearing that this is there. now next month this becomes moot, cause the T9 is here , a bit longer but at a hundred fpe can't ignore it. nuff said! In my opinion* the bar for this pistol is to out perform a cap and ball 6'er, think about it, in the right hands and with the right mods you can get 6 shots off with an antique revolver, when it comes to the facts and based off of tests I have seen so far- the defender is getting out matched by black powder options within the parameters of this particular situation here,
@@cagefighter7330 I don't own anything because I'm out of work, basically broke, however I do know that if you want to get into that particular weapon you will need to perform modifications for optimal functionality, and would probably take $1000 of investment with all the tools of convenience included with the weapon, and a fair bit of research when it comes to the models themselves* I'm not an expert but CZcams has all the answers for sure lol, my statement here on this video was the comparison to the specific weapon he was testing and reliability of said weapon in a EDC situation, all other situations are probably situations where air weapons are more favorable,

Maybe instead of a strike it needs a release valve, something like a quarter turn shut off. Idk I feel like for some reason we’ve been stagnant since the blitz days. Like wtf if they already want thousands why not put in a built in compressor that runs off mags that hold lithium batteries, double stack or even helix it like a calico and we should have short pocket carries holding 50 of 22 with mags smaller than a 02 Nokia 😂😂😂.
