- Le Puy-en-Velay is a magnificent pearl of the French region #Auvergne.
The first settlement on this site arose in the Roman era. The city gained fame in the Middle Ages as a major spiritual center. The first Christian church was built here in the IV century, and in the fifth - the first churches on the site of Notre Dame du Puy, the main temple of the city. Le Puy-en-Velay was the residence of the counts-bishops, many of whom became famous throughout the Catholic world. One of them - Godeskalk in 950-951, was the first to make a pilgrimage to the grave of St. James in Compostel. Since then, one of the routes of the pilgrimage route “The Way of St. James” begins in Le Puy. Subsequently, the city lost its significance as a spiritual center, remaining a place of pilgrimage.
The main architectural, historical and spiritual shrine of the city is the Notre-Dame-du-Puy Cathedral, UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Le Puy-en-Velay is a beautiful little village. I lived there from 2010 to 2016. The calmness and sunny summers are quite memorable. One day I want to go back to visit there.
My father's home town. I've been there 2x. Last time we went I took my youngest son. We live in Australia.

Bonjour! Merci d'avoir commenté et évalué la vidéo. Je suis allé deux fois au Le Puy-en-Velay: en 2015 et 2019. Une ville étonnante, unique et très belle, dont vous ne voulez vraiment pas partir.
Quelques informations sur cette vidéo qui, si je comprends bien, vous intéresse: la vidéo a été tournée avec un appareil photo Panasonic S1, la correction des couleurs a été effectuée dans le programme Davinci Resove Studio.

J'ai fait mes études au lycée Anne Marie Martel 2002-2004. Une très belle ville. C'est nostalgie. J'ai gardé deS beaux souvenirs.
