- Music video by The Rolling Stones performing "Parachute Woman".
Directed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg
Produced by Sandy Lieberson
The Rolling Stones performing “Parachute Woman” from The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus.
Recorded before a live audience in London in 1968, The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus was originally conceived as a BBC-TV special. Directed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg, it centers on the original line up of The Rolling Stones -- Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Brian Jones, Charlie Watts, Bill Wyman (with Nicky Hopkins and Rocky Dijon) -- who serve as both the show’s hosts and featured attraction. For the first time in front of an audience, “The World’s Greatest Rock and Roll Band” performs six Stones classics. The program also includes extraordinary performances by The Who, Jethro Tull, Taj Mahal, Marianne Faithfull, Yoko Ono, and The Dirty Mac. A ‘supergroup’ before the term had even been coined, the band was comprised of Eric Clapton (lead guitar), Keith Richards (bass), Mitch Mitchell of The Jimi Hendrix Experience (drums) and John Lennon on guitar and vocals.
The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus is one of the first concert films to be mixed using Dolby Atmos Technology and Dolby Vision. ABKCO Films has produced a breathtaking experience that faithfully re-creates the actual environment in which this historic event took place using invocative technology that treats sound as 3D spatial information. It can be said that what Dolby Atmos does for sound, Dolby Vision does for visuals. Dolby Vision is an advanced HDR technology that delivers enhanced contrast, detail and dimensionality to the screen by empowering every pixel with a much broader range of color and brightness.

Blues is what Brian Jones and

Mick Jagger can really play that harp

The golden Era! Mick is a great harmonica player! Baddass live performance!

Mick at his best. Outclasses all of his contemporaries. Not close.
Fantastic. The Stones could churn out the blues like nobody's business
Man , I am not a Stones guy , but this is soulful jam. I cannot get enough of this song.
bet your a boulder by now...
News Flash: You're a Stones guy!
Love this song, it perfectly suits all the skydiving women I've ever known. Parachute women are the best of the best !
Beggars Banquet, the beginning of an amazing run of incredible, brilliant, classic albums that will live on as long as we have music.
Kick ass album 👍
@@PonziZombieKiller Definitely 👍
Here, Mick and Keith are 25 years youngs boys here and already so musicaly mature.
Jagger is the greatest period nobody comes close to his energy style confidence and let's not forget 6 decades the test of time ❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Exellence is their middle name! No one better! Always nice to see Brian in his element!
The last image of the Stones with Brian Jones performing. R.I.P.
Incredible how hypnotizing The Stones and Mick & Keith' s magnetic power 8f performance !! I feel like in an Eden Garden or a Magic Looking Glass every angle I look at they show their unique Majesty as the Kings of The Muse- en-scene. Undoubtedly MICK.IS THE 👑 OF ORIGINAL ROCK-'N'-ROLL HUB GENRE. AND KEITH THE HUB KING OF THE GUITAR 🎸 POWER IN THE MUSIC WORLD 🌎🌍 . POINT. ✨✨✨✨✨
even the video director is having the time of his life @2:05 AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good catch!! Love how he realized he was on camera and scurried off!
That guy made my day!
I hadn't seen that... thanks!!
Great days for the Stones - Blues is the core and you can tell they love it, everybody is grooving - Jagger was watchable dancing then and playing his harp - and Keith as always, loving to play.
No camera on Brian?
Bill & Charlie in fine form here.
"Charlie's good tonight, inne?"
Beggars Banquet é um prato cheio pra quem gosta de Rithim/Blues. Álbum impecável e consistente.
Keith (Richards) looks great here 💕
This is from the DVD Rock-n-roll Circus. Awesome DVD! 😎✌❤
Well, my heavy throbber's itchin' just to lay a solid rhythm down. How great is that??
The Rolling Stones fakebook reveals words Jagger wouldn't enunciate which he stole from MUSDY WATERS method.
@@chrismiles8822 He don't stole, he is inspired from and always recognized his due to Muddy.
This is real gem of the Stones and it's one of my favorites of all the time
The whole Beggars Banquet album is like this!
NO Its Not!@alanc1491
Nobody had noticed, but from here began the best moment of the Stones.
Well they were at least as great in ‘65 with Satisfaction!
Nah - it was the high point END.
@@BR-hi6yt no way it was near the start ,1968 to 1974 were the best years, beggars banquet, let it bleed, sticky fingers, exile, goats head soupits only rock and roll
You can say they stopped competing with The Beatles and started to compete with themselves.
@@davidmellish3295 yeah yeah and the BEatles best was after Sgt Pepper - Honky Tonk woman was SHIT.
love the stones endlessly
The BLUES KING
Is MICK JAGGER!!
Very Pretty song and good Music ! MICK IS WONDERFUL !!! THE ROLLING STONES FOREVER AND EVER !!!
I was not aware of this live version, this video made my day! And now, re-play! 👍
Apparently they only ever played it twice live
THE ROLLING STONES FOREVER!
The Stones had that loose feel to their ensemble playing..almost sloppy..but joyously so...like JB Hooker and Howlin Wolf/Hubert Sumlin and the other pioneers of electric blues..LOVE IT!
Brian Jones soo cool 😎
he isn't even playing the guitar,,,,,it is inaudible
If he was playing the mix doesn't let you hear him.
@@woodytheduke He was playing. Go to the isolated version and you can hear his guitar. Turned down but he’s playing.
Brian jones ??😂 🤔
Favourite band 🌟
Good God just an awesome video.
Love the sound guy rockin out at 2:05
I never see, and hear, One boy plus Good Great Musicians, Beautiful 💥 Wonderful Mick Jagger Forever Young. 💙✌️👍👌
Rip Brian Jones and Charlie Watts.
This song ❤️ 🎵 💕 is definitely awesome 🎉🎉 I'm loving the video . Mick is looking good. The stones brought a new style of rock and roll and it changed the way people saw rock and roll music 🎉🎉
one of the bests guitar riffs
What an era that it was........
1968
delight for eyes and ears
My GOD HE WAS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!
Agree ❤️
When I see these great shots, it also makes me sad that Brian didn't live to see the leap into the 70'.
He was a child of the moon 🌙
He's in pretty bad shape here. His playing wasn’t strong at Rock and Roll Circus and thus was mainly mixed out, or his parts were mostly insignificant. Further, he showed up badly inebriated (according to Pete Townshend) and clearly did not look well. He knows his time with the bad is ending.
@@fuchsiaswing8545He wanted it to be over. He quit rather slowly. Jimmy Miller was their producer 69-73 and said Brian’s departure was slow and in stages which were him growing more and more disinterested. Kinds like a job you’ve grown to not be mentally with anymore but don’t know how to quit.
The Stones at they're best!

Ohhh It was a too Short performance !! But if it was longer THE STONES WOULD ALWAYS TAKE PUBLIC AUDIENCE INTO A PHENOMENAL CATHARSIS MOMENTUM AT EVERY TIME SHOW. OH GOSH !! That Holdup the Reins Feeling !!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I love that guitar licks the stones are fucking great!
Not a single word of love for Bill Wyman's bass despite it makes a good chunk of the song.
BILL, WE LOVE YOU!!!
Even bluesier! Great version!
The Stones doing what they do best - The Blues.
We lived through the golden age of R&R....
Was so happy when they finally dug this film out of the vault 25 years ago. Love the Beggars Banquet tracks. Shame the only one they held onto for tours was Sympathy.
What are Beggars Banquet tracks again?
@@dalesmith4026 Tracks from album called Beggars Banquet?
er se oh! I am a newer stones fan! My bad.
@@dalesmith4026 no problem
Well they also still do Street Fighting Man all the time and Stray Cat Blues and a few others now and then. I’ve always been sad there’s no live Jigsaw Puzzle though. Or Dear Doctor, lol.

The Stones in their prime. Some goofy shit was happening to rock 'n' roll during the late '60s, but this performance of "Parachute Woman" is a perfect demonstration of how to keep it simple, straightforward and powerful.
Probably my favorite version of this song, love the guitars. They hardly showed Brian though
Absolute prime Stones!!!!
My old man of 19 years introduced me to this song and I promptly jumped on his trampoline and did a flip in his bed! He gave me a ring the next day JS! Rest in Power Charlie!! Take care!!
This is such a great blues track from "Beggar's Banquet." According to Wikipedia, the Stones only played it live twice. This time (Rock and Roll Circus) and in 2002. Not sure why. Just like "Connection" (which they started playing again), it's a gem.
Funny thing is it's one of the few tracks on Beggar's Banquet that doesn't have piano, but seeing they had Nicky Hopkins there they decided to add it. If anything it's better than the original.

Wow primordial rock and roll
jagger sounds like my mum when she’s drunk- but the song still good ngl
Well, your mum sing pretty well.
I agree.😀
Greatest rocknroll band of all time ..from Old London Town
Ahead of his time. Looking directly into the camera, and the best moves. In 1968. Nobody beats Mick.
Mick looking directly into the camera, all while doing his signature moves. Keith's guitar is rhythmic and nasty. Vintage 'Stones.

THEE BEST & ALWAYS WILL BE !!
Devo dire che su disco la voce ha una sorta di trattamento Chicago Blues che rende l'incisione unica.
Thank you
Muy buena Rola. Me encanta como baila Mik 🙏
¿Por qué coño Mick Jagger parece una mujer en el vídeo?
Literal parece que está vestido de mujer
Another great strong rhythm beat by B. Jones
I was waiting a lot for this

WHOA!
This are the Best years of the Stones.
this is great!
God damn amazing. The whole thing. Apparently Mick was not happy with their perfomance!! 😲
Hard to believe he thought that! They're damn good. They look tired and a bit wasted though!
@@andrewbrennan7291 hey it was ‘68. Lol
@@johngore7744 It's a wonder they performed so well consider the harassment they were receiving from the powers that be!!! Then again we got Beggars Banquet and Let It Bleed from those years!!!!
One of the many highlights from the great Beggars album.
Maybe Keith had his best sound ever with the Les Paul Custom.
How long did he use it for?
Yes, he should play more often on it.
Clapton gave him the yellow Tele. Lol mainly so Keith would not fall over with the heavy Gibson. Actually Kieth plays alot of Gibsons. Not crazy about the yellow Tele. But he loves it for some reason. He's been using the Jr alot lately. But the Tele on JJF sounds terrible.
Blues forever! Tako se to radi!
Simply rock'n roll kick ass blues
2:05 *Production got lost in the jam he forgot to do his job*
Floor managers dance!! 😹
Hahaha epic moment. Man, this song was a party!
You can feel yourself breathing with your ears, can't you? 🤤
*Parachute Woman* is a good blues number (the only authentic *blues* on the album), so engaging and effective...
Not true. Prodigal Son is also blues on the album.
