  • Hi! We are Maddie and Dan and we've spent the past 6 months converting a Renault Master into a fully customised campervan! His name is Rio and we'd love to give you a full tour of everything we've built into him.
Follow us on our travels on Instagram @tranquilatravels
We give a full in depth tour of the kitchen, dining area, bedroom, storage, pull out bench, roof deck and plenty more!
The van was fully built by us with the help of:
    - Ben the builder
    - Ryan the auto electrician
    - and of course Dan's main man, Dad.
The video covers most parts of our van, however if you would like any advice or recommendations please feel free to leave us a comment or message us on our Instagram (@tranquilatravels). We'd be more than happy to help. Dan didn't want to get too technical in the van tour video to save the boredom for those not interested.

Been checking a few vans and it seems like this could be a good choice in the future for me. Started planning with sketching out the open floor plan with toilet/shower and smaller kitchen space. More room for lounging and office/entertainment for single old me. 😊

I came up with an idea to take a shower 50/50 indoor and outdoor with this size van. Is the same thing you created at the back of the van with those heavy duty sliders to hold a persons weights and also a clip to the edges of the doors so u have a square space and shower curtains wrapped around the space your in. If it’s raining there’s a small awning at the top to cover up. But if your parked on a mountain facing the sea who needs curtains😂 And the great idea with skipping the process with a ladder giving access to strangers climbing up there is the same idea you did by climbing up the roof from the roof vent. 👍🏿

Hi, a quick question for Dan, what waste water tank do you have? I cant find one anywhere for a renault master series 3 that sits under the van. Great channel by the way. Hope you can help me. Regards, sam.

Hi Iv just bought a 2010 Master and I’m struggling with awning adapters. I currently have two roof bars in the ‘fixed’ roof points. Does your awning utilise these points or is it completely separate from the pre existing roof bar mounting points?

    Hey guys,
Your van has definitely inspired us. We have recently purchased a 2015 Renault Master MWB as well. Looking at fitting it out ourselves over the next 5 months.
How do you find having to use a solar blanket rather than a fixed solar panel? Where in the van have you guys kept your batteries/inverter/charger?
What did you guys use for insulation and did you include any sound deadening in the build as well?
Thanks in advance and thanks for inspiring!

    • @TranquilaTravels
      @TranquilaTravels  Před 2 lety +1

Heya!! This message made us so happy - glad to have inspired you. And you've made a great choice, we love our Renault.
We are completely fine with the solar blanket because we have a charger that turns on when the engine is running - so if we drive a little each day it's fine! The solar blanket is good for topping up on days we don't move, but we don't need it regularly! All of that is kept next to the fridge behind the driver's seat. We used a combination of Earth wool and aluminium insulation; super happy with it and that provided enough sound deadening for us.
Good luck with your build! Let us know if you have anymore Qs
