  • What a day that was! We started by replacing a 2014 Citroen C4 Picasso Clutch and Dual-mass Flywheel. It shouldn't have taken us that long to replace it if it wasn't for that stubborn, hard-to-reach, starter motor bolt, but hey, this is what I love about my job, it's different trouble everyday.
    We then went to a suspension job for a Ford Fiesta 2008... find out what happens!
    Thank you for watching!

    Those Mini blow torches are handy for Heating and removing stuck and Seized, ball joint bolts...! Also plenty of WD 40...! 🤔🤔👍👍

      Unfortunately did not work mate. I think it needed acetylene torch 😂

    Don’t forget, a dual mass should have some free play, it’s a certain amount of teeth that it should move which differs from one to the next so doesn’t always indicate a worn out dual mass if it turns. Had a mate who was adamant it should have none at all and changed it when it wasn’t really needed

      Dual-mass rattle and that much free-play. I’m sure that this flywheel needed replacing 🤔

    I usually spray the bottom ball joint then put the gun direct to spin the bolt then tap it from the other side with a long pin punch, it usually frees up the bolt.

      I do the same, but when I did just that, I knew something was up. I think the bolt rust welded itself in 😭😭😭

    that CV booth is an emediate M.O.T fail. I suggest emediate replacing before the wheel bearing starts to fail from gunk build up.

    Can you not apply heat to the ball joint bolt as you are allready replacing it anyway 🤔

    • @themarvelousvlog
      @themarvelousvlog  Před 11 měsíci +1

      We applied heat, a lot of it and a lot of torque, and a lot of WD40, NOTHING T__T

    Compressor+air hammer guys. I know those bolts 😂

  • @johnsutton2527
    @johnsutton2527 Před 9 měsíci

    You should use some heat on them bolts

    Those pinch bolts never remove using the torx head. Run the nut off then use a heavy drift piece of metal with a large hammer, they will eventually start to shift

    • @themarvelousvlog
      @themarvelousvlog  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Why not the Torx head? 🤔

    • @Paul-nm7tl
      @Paul-nm7tl Před 9 měsíci +1

      @themarvelousvlog the bolt is always so seized on a car of that age, and an internal drive fixing will either round them off or snap the torx piece.
      Always hammer them through with a big drift/punch and get a new nut/bolt ready (worth keeping a few in toolbox) They should of made them a 17mm 6 sided bolt, would allow much more purchase on the fixing. I had same issue with a 2019 Ford Courier last week, seized solid
