    Sir my laptop is lenovo, when i power it on, it turns on and the light indicator works, the fans turn on, but after 3 to 4 seconds the fan will turn off. Also the laptop stays black screen. I know that my battery and charger works. I tried your videos but nothing seems to work out. Can you help a newbie out?

      If your Key Cap is not clicking down in place correctly, it is most likely due to the Retainer Clip not being properly installed or damaged. Remove the Cap and inspect for damage or that its not laying down flush and properly snapped in itself. Compare to another Clip if needed by removing another Cap.

    Hi I really need help. My plastic on a letter key got on the key and don't know how to but it back to normal

      I dont understand your comment. Are you saying the Retainer Clip is still attached to the Key Cap and you cant get the key back on?
      Because they key can usually not be reinstalled with the Retainer Clip and the Key Cap still attached to each other, you would have to separate them as seen here, using a small flat pry tool.

      Remember to check the FAQ's on my videos! It could save you time getting an answer to common questions :) If you need to replace a larger key, for example the Space or Enter keys, refer to this video; czcams.com/video/v38xch9HKZI/video.html.

      Its inside the laptop? Best way is to remove any and all access doors/panels and remove the cd drive. Then shake it a few times with the open cd drive on the bottom lol :)

      If the key assembly is not installing correctly, its either due to a component being damaged and needing to be replaced or a component not being orientated correctly. I would disassemble the key as seen here in this video and inspect for damage. If there is no damage, install the key. If there is damage, replace the key. Would you like help locating a key? If so, what is the brand and model for your computer?

    What if it's an arrow key?

    • @PC_Monkey
      @PC_Monkey  Před 2 lety

      In most keyboards, the arrow keys are the same size as the letter keys and so constructed the same way. Are yours the same size? Then this video should help :)

      @PC_Monkey  Před 2 lety

      @@kevinstanton7338 Oh ok. Your arrow keys will be made the same but with smaller components like the function keys. Smaller key cap and retainer clips but still the same. Just have to be more careful and perhaps use a smaller pry tool

    • @PC_Monkey
      @PC_Monkey  Před rokem

      If any component of the key assembly is broken, it would have to be replaced. I usually get my keys on Ebay or www.replacementlaptopkeys.com. If you cannot find a loose key for sale, you may have to purchase a keyboard and take a key from there.
