Here is the scene from twister where they have to dodge debris from the lawn and garden place plus go through a house no copyright infringement intended I own nothing

What makes that scene even better is knowing the only CGI that was used was the house rolling into the road. The rest was all practical effects.

This movie made tornadoes seem very much like sentient beings. Like they were almost alive & have a mind of their own. In the case of this tornado it clearly chased them the entire time changing directions every time they did.
If this tornado could speak here's what I think it would have said even though this sounds crazy: "What... no... impossible! You know my secrets. NOW I WILL DESTROY YOU!!!"
