  • Following a 1hr drive home after taking delivery of my brand new Ezytrail Lincoln LX MK3 camper trailer, I set about carrying out some preventative maintenance. Now, I understand and accept that at this price point, there will be some areas where the quality is lacking, and my research gave me a fair indication of what & where. But component quality is moot if the installation is poor, and that's exactly what I discovered when I went to change the wheel bearings. If you've not checked yours, you really should after watching this.

have easy trail gotten in contact or vice versa, and have they rectified the issue? I'm looking at buying one within a couple months glad I found this video extremely helpful

Sorry for the late reply. I knew when I bought this it was never going back there unless there was an issue I couldn't resolve myself within reason. I'm lucky I have the skills, tools & knowledge to undertake all but major mechanical repairs. And I knew there were going to be multiple quality issues I'd need to rectify post delivery, but I didn't expect both wheels to be so bad. I figure if they can't get something simple like this right the first time, miss or ignore it during pre delivery checks, I can't trust them 100% to fix it. There is also the considerable downtime in taking it back for repair and having to go back again to collect it. I do consider things like adjusting bearings, checking wheel nuts & adjusting handbrake a necessary skill for any kind of trailer/ caravan ownership.
