This is neat.
Is it a covered position with 20/25 retirement?
Was it you guys shooting at Coulee recently?
Probably
Where can I submit my resume?
USA jobs
I would love to join this but unfortunately they don't have any positions near Alabama.
We should replace security forces at global strike bases with these guys.
Whats the pay?
Not that much
@@Kynyrd numbers?
It would suck if it broke... So much of Washington would go under water...
I have never seen training where recruits lay on their back shooting over their heads. $10 says its not easy the first time you try it!
Honor your oaths
Honor these nuts bro
Seems a bit boring
This is going to be an incredibly dull/boring job. How many threats at this dam justify this type of police force. The local police/state patrol can't handle a crazy person. Seems a bit overkill.
Well the dam provides copious amounts of water and electricity to the public so it could be a potential target for terrorism or crime.
@@l.bolton9432 so does every bridge a over a major river. Do we need a bridge police force. Game and parks, local police can handle the once a year vandalism case at a dam. How many police agencies do we need?

You're really shortsighted. No organization would ever justify the money needed for the training and security force itself unless it was necessary.
If you had any domestic terrorism training you'd understand that a dam is a critical target.
@@sjtv6565 the point is that the police/game and parks can handle the incidents. The data doesn't justify the expense. By adding another agency does not necessarily prevent terrorist attacks, look at 9/11. bridges/electrical grids are targets. Do they need police agencies? The amount of planning/ explosives it would take to do anything to a solid concrete structure is impressive. Its not something you do in a weekend. Its not being shortsided its common sense. Has anyone ever tried to take out a dam? Have they succeeded? Lack of maintenance to infrastructure is a greater terrorist threat.
Pete You may be correct on some of your view! The only issue with Using State & Local Forces is Federal & State Laws differ greatly. Local & State would have to go for extensive training and that's every new hire! With BOR having it's own Force the officers can be sent anywhere in the Country.
Beauro of Reclamation budget should be cut 90%.
They generate power. They pay for themselves.
They barely have any staff
