About Thimphu
Thimphu is the capital city of the Kingdom of Bhutan, a landlocked country located in the Eastern Himalayas. Situated in the western central part of Bhutan, Thimphu serves as the political, economic, and cultural centre of the nation. With its unique blend of tradition and modernity, the city offers visitors a fascinating glimpse into Bhutanese culture and heritage.
With its blend of tradition, natural beauty, and warm Bhutanese hospitality, Thimphu is a city that captivates the hearts of visitors, providing an authentic and enriching experience of Bhutan's cultural heritage.
I recommend spending at least two days in Thimphu before heading out to explore the rest of the country. I also recommend trying out Bhutanese cuisine - you'll have good food options for vegetarian food also.

Looks like an amazing trip! How’s the carbon negative air?
Definitely on the bucket list.
The air is indeed crisp, and tastes almost sweet - not sure if that’s due to carbon neutrality (I believe they are now carbon negative). I guess it’s primarily due to almost nil (visible) pollution…everything’s so clean!
Me, my family and my father's colleagues family went to Bhutan in 2020...it was really great you know...at some point my family even decided to settle down there...
Also I live in jalapiguri...so it's like a 3 to 4 hour trip to Jaigaon-Phuentsholing.
Also the tour guide, Sonam da, he was also our tour guide but just in Thimpu. Our car driver helped us in Paro...
Oh wow! That’s pretty fantastic that your family is settled there ❤️
And what a coincidence that we had the same guide too 🤗
❤❤

@@sumitk005 Trying hard to find time to edit it asap!
Changangkha lhakhang temple is the oldest surviving temple in thimpu.
We can learn one thing from bhutan is peace and patriotism .Intrestingly in bhutan there is no traffic light.
We can feel calmness at buddha dordenma such a great place
Absolutely! The lack of traffic lights was stark…zebra crossings really work there too and cars always stop and give way to pedestrians. We can actually learn quite a bit from them…
Bhai aap ek underrated vlogger ho aap ek legend ho vlogging ke field me
Jis hissab se aap harek chij ke bare me ekdam acche se batate ho to vlogging ke sath sath history bhi samajh aata hai jis se us jagah ka importance pta chalta hai

Beautiful vlog ❤ Sigh* major missing vibes. Looking forward to the next episode 😍
I recognize the places even if you hadn't mentioned (except the hotel). You were so fortunate to be on the same flight as his majesty. I would have recognized him for sure since I've seen his pictures all over Bhutan from my previous trip too.
Here are 3 of the places you visited in Thimpu:
1. Changangkha Lhakhang
2. Crafts Bazaar
3. Buddha Dordenma Statue
You are a Bhutan pro! :) I can’t wait to go back there and explore all the places (there are so many of them) that I couldn’t see this time…
@@SiddharthaJoshiFilms thanks, not a pro, but did learn a lot more this time since I had a long trip of 11 days. There are so many beautiful valleys & offbeat places. I want to go back again. Just love the vibe of that place. It's my son's fav place & he loves the local cuisine too.
@@GallivantingSoul I want to go on an 11 days trip too! Also, despite being a vegetarian, I really liked the food too - will cover food more in detail in a later episode but it was indeed a revelation for me :)
@@SiddharthaJoshiFilms Indeed. They do eat a lot of veg food, meats are exported from India. I carried back fruits, veggies & their local cheese, since my son loves the dachi dishes. I cooked him an authentic Bhutanese meal.
I am from uttarakhand 💗 mene apko pehli baar instagram p dekha aapki video mujhe achi lgi mujhe nhi pta tha aap vlog bhi bnate ho but aap vlog bhi ache bnate ho.. 🎉❤ aap kbhi uttarakhand bhi aaye ho? 🌺🌼

Visa process kya hai bhutan ka? Indain ke liye
Visa not required for Indians!
That’s correct - but you do need to get a permit. Also you need your passport or your election card for entry - passport is certainly preferred 👍 (I’ll share more on all this in later videos from Bhutan).
