Bhutan opened it's door after 2.5 years in September 2022 ever since the pandemic started.
This video is mainly focused for people travelling from India.
You may skip to the following points in the video for more information:
    00:00 - Intro
01:51 - How to reach Bhutan?
    02:32 - Visa/Permit Guidelines
    04:35 - Transportation Cost
    05:51 - Hotel/Stays cost
    06:22 - Guide Rules
    07:50 - 6-7 Days Itinerary
    10:40 - Offbeat Places Itinerary
    11:42 - Basic Budget
12:18 - Best time to Visit Bhutan
    12:30 - Outro
Bhutan being a neighboring country to India is Not a budget country to travel especially from 2022. It's technically a Visa free country however you need to pay a certain cost and take permit to enter Bhutan.
Bhutan government has imposed 1200/- per person per day for citizen of India/Bangladesh/Maldives as Sustainable Development fee.
This is not it , earlier Indian could take their own vehicles and they didn't had to pay anything for it.
From Sept 2022 , if you are willing to drive your own car from India to Bhutan you need to pay 4700/- per day and an additional 600 Rs one time for it.
Guides are compulsory beyond Thimphu and Paro now. Infact, consider taking a guide right from the beginning of your trip. This cost is again 1500-2000 per day.
Taxis and cabs or evening renting a bike is quite expensive now.
From Pheuntsholing to Thimphu you need to pay 3000-3500 for a taxi.
Making is a lot more expensive than earlier
As per our experience and new guidelines it is advisable to book Bhutan trip from a tour operator. That would cost you a little reasonable.
We have covered everything however in case you still have any queries do leave a comment or you can DM us in Instagram .
    Thank you for watching.
    See you in other video.

Yes, this is something I am not really proud of but yes this is reality and I accept that. Majority of the people who travel from India to Bhutan are from adjoining border areas like Assam, West Bengal and Bihar. And they are reaaalllyy loud.
And it is correct to say that a good experience comes with an equally good price. 😂

Own vehicles from India are allowed but that will involve an additional cost of 4700/- per day. You can only rent a Bike in Bhutan for local sight seeing or longer rides but car rentals are not there in Bhutan.
The Guide will come with you in your car throughout the trip or otherwise you will have to pay for the guide's transportation as well and you can get a guide from Phuentsholing.

    • @dishitandgunjan
      @dishitandgunjan  Před 7 měsíci +1

Not really, Though Bhutan is the first country to adopt Indian UPI but I don't think it is fully functional as it's in India. Even your Visa or MasterCard credit/debit cards will also not work there.. Rupay cards work in some of the places. Best is if you are taking a package or hiring a guide them make online transfer to them in advance and ask them money on the way. Even we did all the shopping in cash.
