It is nice to see someone like you to appreciate the beauty of rocks, while some, many just ignores them as nothing special, and walk over. I love your findings.
Your videos are inspiring. I've loved rocks/gems all my life. 🌸 Besides that, I'm thrilled to see that you have a connection with our animals of the earth. It's so lovely to see you help them across the road! And on top of that, a little loving blessing to bid them farewell on their journey. 🌼 SPLENDID !! BLESSINGS to you both.

Yeah, nothing helps people with mental illness than isolation and highly repetitive exhausting tasks that often lead to great disappointment. Sounds like a good plan!
@@bashkillszombies I actually have severe bipolar and ptsd and I find prospecting and fossicking extremely helpful for my condition. From planning trip, spending hours walking with no distractions in the fresh air, then spending the evening with friends and families around the camp fire is extremely therapeutic. I don’t do it to get rich or actually find anything it’s more the exercise and getting away that I enjoy.
@@bashkillszombies "isolation and highly repetitive, exhausting tasks that often lead to disappointment" Sounds a lot like life in general, at least on fossicking trips you occasionally find something cool you get to take home which can serve as a reminder of how perseverance can pay off in spades. Hey Liz. I've been watching a few of your videos. Mainly ones that involve opal. I love opal. I'm an opal freak. I've been buying high grade rough for ridiculously low prices online from a supplier I met a while back. I've now got over 1.5kg of high grade lightning ridge, coober pedy, welo and boulder and I'm trying to get my collection valued. By what I've read I'm under the impression I've got over £20,000 worth. And I've only spent about £3000. I was wondering, if I sent you a few picture's of some of my rough, would it be possible for you to estimate the value for me? Only on a few pieces. I've got so much that It would be impossible for me to take pics of each piece. But if I sent you say 4-5 photos. Do you think you could give me your opinion? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
ukjay23 Hi ukjay23, Sorry Mate but I prospect as a hobby and have never sold a single piece of gemstone/Opal, so I wouldn't have the foggiest idea on how to price them. Good luck and wish you all the best in your quest. Cheers, Liz
Liz Kreate have you ever been found Star Sapphire there,/in around Australia somewhere?.if you did, i want to know where about?,&wondering what the rough one looks like?

Fascinating videos!! We visited Sapphire and Rubyvale in Queensland a few years back and came away with lots of sapphire and zircon chips, plus a few sapphire 'bombs' one of which (139carats) we had cut in half, polished and wire-wrapped to make a couple of pendants. Whilst in the area we also stayed at the Willows Gemfields and found yet more chips. We then moved on to Mount Hay where we found loads of Geodes and pieces of spherelitic rhyolite in the extinct volcano. Previously on this "Big Trip" we stayed for several days in Lightning Ridge and found lots of opal - my favourite gem!!
I wish you were here in AZ with me to rock hunt. I bet we'd have a blast. I live in an area that is open desert and mountains. I find the most amazing things out there... awesome stuff. ;-) Great video. Thanks!
