I also spent entirely too much time with my great grandparents, they where from the wehymar and I learned German before I learned English. Then I had to go to public school, which made me learn English. I am pretty rusty on my advanced German. But I like to watch and learn things multiple times from different aspects. Knowing spanish and english is making it very easy for me to learn. Although I’m new to some phonetics, It’s easier to comprehend the masculine, feminine, and neutered version of words thanks to knowing spanish. How lucky I am! Hear a lot of people having trouble with that concept.

Knowing French + English makes German easy mode. All vowel sounds in German are found in english and french
