I feel bad for Starro ⭐️
He just wanted to see the stars until humans - the real monsters in the universe - captured and experimented on him. His vengeful actions are understandable. If I was in his position, I would’ve gone insane from the torture and kill everyone even though they have nothing to do with the experiment. I’m pretty sure everyone would’ve the same vengeful action.

James Gunn definitely did justice for this movie.
It really has a lot more improvements, writing, care, meaning. It is definitely one of my top comic book/graphic novel adaptations I bought a physical copy of the movie.

This movie is not only about villians:
King Shark is animalistic neutral: he's more of an animal that does his own thing rather than wanting to do harm to people.
Ratcatcher 2 is a heroine, she just had to steal to be Alice, not because she enjoys crime.

Part of me kind of wants to see a movie someday where the protagonists use the full extent of their powers right from the beginning so they pretty much just blast through a dozen movie plots in an hour.
Just play a dnd campaign with min/maxing.
Them killing off some members in the beginning reminds me of Deadpool 2 when his xforce team members died in hilarious ways
It was the Hydrox to Deadpool 2's Oreos.
There were some silly things in this but I thought the dialogue writing saved it quite a bit.
Ratcatcher and Rick's talk in the buss was actually really good.
Surprisingly good for an action movie, actually.
Over all, this was a pretty good flick.
John Cena's face when he was killing Rick Flagg and Flagg called him out on the bullshit of the name "Peacemaker," gave me chills. He's a pretty damn good actor.
I was perfectly set for the suicide squad because I had zero expectations and then the movie kicked all the ass. Definitely better than the first one like you said.

Not as good as WW84 but one of the best DCEU pitchs and maybe even one of the best ever

I would've loved a comparison of this and the Honest Trailer. I haven't watched it in quite a while, but remember it being quite good.
Ok, I just watched it and loved it. It was great that they choreographed Harley’s fight very well. Birds of Prey’s fighting was really lacking.
It was a serous step up from the first Suicide Squad too.

I honestly thought this movie was a sequel at first since I've heard and read from CZcams videos and articles online that Will Smith was said to return in this franchise as Deadshot and he wasn't replaced by Idris Elba. At that time too I saw many characters return with their original actors, that's why I assumed it was a sequel. But weeks prior the release, I watched some CZcams videos that mentioned that this was a soft reboot, in which I have mixed feelings of, but mostly excited.
In regards to the film, especially to the first team that was meant to be a decoy to begin with, I actually wanted them to last even just for like 5 or almost 10 minutes though. I'm aware that they're not the focus of the film, but it would be more fun to see them a bit longer. But overall, the story was neat and doesn't feel disconnected. You could actually feel they were cast outs of the society and you could feel the camaraderie building within them. The 2016 film could've been the same, if only they did not make the story complicated that they have to edit out too much. But props to James Gunn as well since it's his trademark to bring cast out characters together, and as well as making characters feel like a family.
Also, I was a bit concerned because last I heard from James Gunn was that he was fired due to some controversy way back. I thought he wasn't going back, but glad he was rehired for GOTG Vol 3. It was funny though that he wanted to have a crossover between DCEU and MCU mostly on his works within them.

I don’t know about the whole “Making you feel bad for Starro” thing. Okay, sure, Starro was happy until it was forced into the ship. But if it was happy then, why didn’t it go into the ship, take over one person, and have that person tell the rest of them to LET IT GO. However you look at it, it’s ultimately Starro’s fault that its life went to shit.
All of the DC film I've seen this one is far more Enjoyable to watch...
My sister and her boyfriend did not finish it because they thought it was terrible and pointless and they said the first one was better. She said the effects were worse, particularly King Shark

While I enjoyed the movie, I was a bit pissed that they killed off those characters at the start. When they showed them in the trailer, I was happy to see some more obscure characters coming in. It feels like a bait and switch when they killed them off like that.
Like I said though, I still enjoyed the movie. It's far from perfect, but it was soooo much better than the first one, and had some genuinely good moments. Oh, and the characters didn't travel by helicopter crash, so that was a huge improvement.

Yeah, that's exactly what it was. Also cheap emotional manipulation. It would have been an unmitigated improvement to the movie if they had just.... you know, not.
Quite a bit of people started getting red flags when they noticed all the non prison and helicopter scenes had none of the intro characters in it during the trailer.
Still a bit of a bummer though for fans of those characters.

Slipknot was the first guy to die in the 2016 Suicide Squad
I liked the movie. But i think with all this killing of villains off the bat they would run out of them for the future. Like The Thinker. He’s supposed to be smarter than even the Flash who has a super speed mind and super intelligence. But in this he was just a normal evil scientist and nothing else. I kept waiting for him to show some smartness like predicting what the heroes will do through variables. Peter Capaldi was the best actor for the job. He looked just like The Thinker and him as the Doctor in Doctor Who has the level of intelligence that Thinker should
This isn't the Clifford Devoe thinker.... This thinker was called Gaius Grieves, an original character for the movie so there is still hope for him... And also there are a lot of obscure DC villains in the comics so they would never run out

There was so many absurd things in this movie that made feel like the first one was better. A shark guy, a rat controlling lady with Ratatouille rat on her shoulder, A star fish bad guy with Rick & Morty parasites to control people shooting out of it, A whatever that crazy guy with interdimentional virus was. It would be an awesome experience if I was a kid or on drugs. It also made me a bit disappointed because other aspects of the movie was quite good and it could be much better without the absurdity.
But, the first one had a lot of ridiculous things too. A Witch, Killer Croc. This movie was put together in a much better way than the 2016 one.

The reason why I watched the film is because of King Shark. Kudos to Mr. Stallone. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 I knew there was going to be senseless violence in it. After to have watched the film my jaw dropped. I was not expecting that there was going to be a story to be told. And the story was AWESOME!!! The Dick's head is 🤯🤯🤯

I really enjoyed both live-action Suicide Squad movies. Thought they were both really enjoyable
I passed on this movie. After seeing clips and good reviews I'm not sorry. I think what turns me off is a running theme I won't get into, and "super" powers like rat catcher. I like the idea of lesser powered special people, but they could do better although some were good choices. I'm glad they're adding workable humor and elements that makes one think or feel.
A star critter dying by having it's one eye was pierced and filled with rats. Watching clips it looks more like a tweens show villain. Wonder if it's big ___ you to those who roasted the first one or someone had too many "meds" while writing. Never mind It's not hard to figure out what's going on.
One thing stands out with this one and the first; it's something chilling that takes these movies into near real life horror level. Fantasy/sci-fi can be cool and escapist fun. However, we know these strangely powered people/humanoids aren't real. What could be, and is more than likely real, are people like Amanda Waller. Change the movies and make them all just normal but extremely clever, wily and human range strong villains. Who in both movies would be the most dangerous of all? Waller, the one who shot up a room full of honorable public servants just doing their jobs because "they knew too much". They were put in that position by higher ups and gave no indication of becoming a problem. She used them like human kleenex and tossed them away with the same disregard we do used tissue. Think about it, they had families, loved ones, a life ahead of them but they died because one of worse villains had power is not seen to be evil. A known extraordinary villain like the Joker, is a serious public danger but a hidden one like Amanda is worse because not only does the innocent not see it coming with her; she would likely destroy anyone and anyhting on any scale if she deemed it necessary to achieve her aims.
I'm disappointed this didn't do better at the box office. I thought it was a good movie as opposed to a lot of the junk hollywood has been putting out lately. This failing financially means studios won't take chances and we'll just continue getting bland, cookie cutter movies
I don't think that will be the case. It came out at a weird time. I think WB is more concerned with getting better word of mouth regarding their movies. Most of their DC movies have been divisive. Having more accepted content will help them in the long run.
@@OnMyMindEntertainment I agree that this movie came out at a weird time which obviously cut into its potential box office draw. I also agree that personally I think strong word of mouth is better in the long run but take the Snyder Cut for example, it had good word of mouth but DC couldn't run away from it fast enough it seems. And Warner is hemorrhaging money right now so they need these movies to make money and if they don't, I think they'll cut & run. I hope I'm wrong, I guess only time will tell
