Deadly venomous cobras belong to some of most feared snakes in the world. They are also ones of the most venomous snakes in the world. Red spitting cobra (Naja pallida) lives in Eastern Africa. This snake spits venom as a defense strategy. This cobra has bright red color and blends in to the dry savanna habitat. We rescued this cobra from a house and relocated it. If we did not come people will try to kill the snake. Bio-ken snake farm in Watamu (Kenya) milks snakes for venom and helps to manufacture antivenom. There is still not enough antivenom in Kenya and most other countries in Africa.
I am not a snake lover, they scare the life out of me but, I have to admit, the Red Spitting Cobra is the most beautiful snake I have ever seen. I am 69 years old, and this is the first image I have ever seen of one. I watch Snakes in the City along with other documentaries about all wildlife including snakes but as I said, have never seen one before. Even I have to admit it is beautiful.
Red spitting cobras are absolutely awesome snakes, we agree! There are many other gorgeous snakes, check out our video about this stunning cobra! czcams.com/video/tWYsr1M6sGk/video.html
Look up the coral Cobra. the most beautiful of all Cobras in my opinion
I swear
@@LivingZoology stunning cobra, hahaha
Love how gentle they was with the snake when using the tongs and hook, allowing it to find its own way to safety with just a little coaxing, the cobra seemed so relaxed only spitting the once before retreating to safety, amazing job
Thank you very much!!! We wanted to use the general behavior of many snakes - just going to shelter when they feel unsafe. If the bag is next to the wall they naturally go inside.
Supposed to bruse its head....
Its biblical
@@williammekhjian4744 It may be but is not nice. Thought we were supposed to love our enemies and be kind to each other and all God's creation.
@@williammekhjian4744 Why harm an innocent and beautiful creation of God?
Every video from your channel is a pice of art. I hope that one day we will meet somewhere in Europe!
Thank you so much!!! Maybe we will meet!
Wow, that's one of the most beautiful snakes I've seen.
It is really beautiful! More than we thought before we came to Africa!
That's exactly what I was gonna say.
Seriously.... This is beautiful. But by seeing from the video is enough for me🤣🤣🤣
Go and give it a hug lol!

Haha, yes! :D
Haven't seen one of these before. Great fan of snake channels and seeing them in the wild is changing my ideas about snake keeping. This is where they truly belong. Thank you for a great video of a stunning individual that I'd not seen before to see it in the wild against the red soil is truly spectacular!
Thank you for watching!!! It is great that you like our channel, we love to show snakes in their natural habitat.
@@LivingZoology you're doing a great job!
@@teetaylor6525 Thank you so much!
Thanks for showing this species. You always see the monocle or king . My opinion pallida is the most beautiful.
Please watch The Yellow Cape Cobra From Kalahari, if you haven't already. They're also very beautiful!!
Yes, the Cape cobra from Kalahari is extremely awesome!
Beautiful snake and an amazing way of using the snake's behaviour to capture it without harming anyone.
Thank you very much!!! Happy that you like the video!
Wonderful video! I didn't know about this red spitting species. It blends in perfectly with the red soil! Thank you for your beautiful and informative videos!! From Phoenix, Arizona USA 🇺🇸 (The home of many rattlesnakes!) 🌵🐍🐍
Thank you so much for watching!!! Greetings to Arizona! We hope to come back one day :)
The wet soil was the same color as the snake. Amazing!
Yes, perfect evolution and adaptation to this special environment!
Or vice versa :-)
They just painted that snake red
Incredible work!!! Amazing video!! That’s the most gorgeous cobra I’ve seen
Glad you like it! Yes, this is really amazing cobra species!
Reminds me of the dilophosaurus from jurassic park but really they don't spit venom. But this snake looks really cool the fact that can actually spit out something.
Yes, Dilophosaurus did not spit in reality, but these snakes can do it perfectly!
Another grear video, love your drone shots !
Thank you very much!
Wow, beautiful snake indeed. This must have taken lots of work to find and capture so well.
It was amazing, we have seen many snake species, but not many can battle this one in case of beauty. It was great snake to work with! We love cobras!
Yes!!! One of the many species of cobras I have wanted to know about! Can’t wait for the premiere!
It is coming very soon ;)

I love these. Thank you. I s the audio track with the birds in the background from the same sight as the video edits? Sounds good.
Thank you very much!!! The audio track was recorded separately in the same habitat where this species lives.
Looking forward to it Matej! When will the video with the Echis you filmed be finished?
Great, thanks and we hope that you will enjoy it! :) I think the video for CZcams about Echis will come to our channel in October :)

Thank you so much for watching our videos! We are happy that you enjoyed this one!
Great snake with good visuals kudos
Thank you for watching!!!
amazing work sparing this specimen'a life by relocating it elsewhere... rural areas worldwide may suffer consequences when foraging, harvesting, or hunting but really its the wildlife that takes an impacting blow from the publicity many animals gain for such amazing niches such as this cobra's spitting defense technique.. gorgeous reptile!
Thank you so much!!! We were super happy to have the chance to relocate this snake. Also, the next day we educated the rangers of local conservancy about snakes and showed them this very feared species.
I watched till now about so many snakes but in my life the first time I'm watching a beautiful and deadly red snake ......to look like it's very awesome but it more dangerous than all snakes.......thank you for showing this beautiful video...

amazing! What camera do you use?
Thanks! Canon GX10.
Amazing footage
Glad you liked it!
Definitely my fav of all the cobras. For me its pallida, then siamensis, then kaouthia. If I could only have one venomous snake it would be N. Pallida (I don't have any cobras and will never get one as long as im living in an apartment FYI)
We agree that Naja pallida is a beautiful species! From others which we have filmed already, we really like nigricollis, naja, mossambica, nivea and melanoleuca.
Absolutely beautiful snakes! I just adore them.
Thank you very much!
Arguably the most gorgeous Cobra species out there in wild
We agree, it is absolutely beautiful!
Love the nature sounds instead of commentary, makes it unique & surreal. Loves snakes and nature keep up the good work!
Thank you so much, we appreciate it a lot!
this species are so amazing 💕
We agree! 🙂
OMG red king cobra world best 💥
It is a beautiful snake!!

Really beautiful multicolored cobra ever seen Thanks for the show this species varients than any other species that's the reason it is reverential.

It seems as though, all the most beautiful beings in nature are the most dangerous, red cobras are an astounding sight to behold. If you dare to hold...
Red spitting cobra was awesome snake to see!
Good Morning, Your the Best
Thank you so much!!
Even in slomo the spitting of venom still looks fast
Yes, it is a very fast movement!
Damn this channel is even more beautiful than this Red spitting cobra. 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you so much!!! It means a lot to us! :)
Thank you
Thank you!
So, I have to agree with the comments about the beauty of this cobra. I have never seen a snake caught in a video so easily, so peacefully, or so quickly. No fanfare, noise, or trauma. Absolutely fantastic. The poor thing found a comfortable spot and people freaked out, except for you and the crew. Great job. Great rescue. Great channel. The temperament of the snake was a surprise too. I do have to say, that given what these critters eat, I think I would rather have the snake around my home than the nuisances that these snake find delicious. I mean it is not like the snake is going to eat my food and ultimately poop in it, correct? It won't bring in disease that can spread to me, correct? Might be worth it. Don't know though. Great channel!!!
This snake was absolutely amazing. Thank you very much!!! Snake behaves according to how you behave when you are trying to rescue it. We were happy to save this snake, people would try to kill it if we did not come. Check our video from India, where we worked with a great professional Ajay Giri: czcams.com/video/QeFVZ4t6VhU/video.html
You are right, snakes will not spread dangerous diseases to humans, will not destroy your storage of food, we would also prefer to have snakes around rather than rats.
@@LivingZoology That's where you got the bottle trick from!! I get the feeling that the only reason to use the hooks and the thongs is to completely (greatly reduce) eliminate the chance of being bitten. I mean the snake did not strike once in the video. Did it even strike when you were in its presence?? This was a great video!! You have confirmed a great many beliefs I have held about these snakes. Thank you for the link. I am no longer interested in the snake catcher programs and videos other than yours. You seem to be showing the TRUE nature of these snakes. The other videos appear mean and disrespectful to the snakes. Great channel. I am a fan!!
@@jazzbariman Yes, we learned this method in India and it works in many cases :) It is true that most people who make videos about snakes are dramatizing the topic and then people think that these reptiles are choosing striking as the first way of defense. It is not true, all our encounters with snakes are peaceful, some species strike quite a lot, but in general, fleeing is the first behavior. Many thanks for visiting our channel!
@@jazzbariman I agree, their channel is one of very few about venomous snakes that I can handle watching. I really don’t like the ones where they have them in captivity. They seem to get some kind of sick enjoyment from the feedings and I guess from their ego from the risk. No thanks. These people bring out the beauty of these snakes and show their truly peaceful nature. I’m hooked.
Good rescue you are the Best.
Thank you!
I Never Miss the Best. Happy Valentines day to the young lady.
One of my friend has habbit of chewing tobacco.. he used to spit same like this
😀😀😀
🤢
Wow amazing
Thank you!
First time see it. How beautiful this creature is!
We agree, this species of snake is absolutely stunning!
Beautiful snake, brilliant quality too! Just curious as to whom it was aiming at.. 🐍
Thank you very much!!! It was aiming on one of us. The others were filming,

Gorgeous snake, wonderful catching!!!! That was the easiest catch I have ever seen!!!! I love what you do!!!
Thank you so much!!! 🙏
I know, when they first said what they were trying to do I thought “there’s no chance in hell they’ll get that snake to voluntarily go in that tube & bag”. Boy was I wrong. Genius really. I couldn’t be more impressed with both their skill & dedication to protecting the snakes. They are truly inspiring.
Deadly venomous Red spitting cobra is both a destroyer of cells and a goodwill ambassador by donating venom. A charming fellow I'd say.
It is an amazing snake! Thank you for watching!
I live in Nairobi. Grew up in the red soils of Tsavo, combined with Black volcanic rocks. Used to see lots of colorful reptiles. Snakes, lizards and bugs. But now I moved into the big city to make a living. It's just a faint memory now.
We absolutely loved the landscape in Tsavo region! It is beautiful and home to interesting reptiles!
Such a beautiful snake.
Thank you, it is a very cool snake!

We agree, this is a very beautiful species of cobra!
This person i know has a few of these ! Some real badasses
Yes, these snakes are very cool! 🐍
this beautiful creature is just casusally sneezing
Haha :D
If the poison drops on your skin does it affect
Some people might have some rush on the skin, but it is not deadly.
I love the concept that the snake is definitely the ruling god as for the start of the summer season from the theory of the Chinese lunar calendar!!🇨🇳📅😤😃😃😃😎
We are not aware very much about the Chinese calendar :)
@@LivingZoology I definitely am as for the theory of my own beliefs however.🇨🇳📅😤🐍😃😃😃😎
Great video guy's. I am a huge fan of your work
Thank you so much for following our work!! Very happy to hear that! 🙂
Fish can be stocked into creek and turn native by eating the native crawfish, darters, etc and even tone of water changes fish meat and crawfish changing meat pink.
The Red Spitting Cobra drinking that Blood Red Soil puddle, through generations causes that beautiful pigment.
I wonder if in one generation of being out of that environment would amend pigment?
Like Black Mamba in captivity change to a Grey tone..
Amazing this earth..
Red spitting cobras have different colors according to soil color in that area. Not everywhere they are this red. They get lighter orange in some for example.
@@LivingZoology Your filming is so elite I came to revisit.
What a majestic opportunity you caught.
Do they harvest from free animal and rotate hosts annually? (As they do in India?)
LZ videos are always a treat, beautifully filmed & informative. I had never heard of this snake before; it's stunning. One question, though: I trust everyone was wearing goggles?
Thank you so much, we are very happy to read this comment :) Yes, we were wearing visors which we got in the plane to wear because of covid-19 :D
What a beauty!
Yes, a stunning snake!
Just found this channel. Great content! Subscription from me 👍😎👍

Yes, venomous snakes are dangerous so you need to work with them respectfully. But they are also beautiful and amazing animals!

Yes, I agree! The very best. I've watched many of your videos now.... I just found you a couple of weeks or so ago. Loved your European viper video. I didn't know about that snake... I love learning new things and your videos are excellent. I also really enjoyed the one, "The Desert of Rattlesnakes". 🏜️ Because I live in Phoenix, Arizona, it was really special for me. Thank you!! I need to watch it again... It was so good!!
@@char8059 That is so awesome to hear that you enjoy watching our videos and you already saw The desert of rattlesnakes! :) That was a special trip for us. We try to find interesting species and we are happy when we can educate about them :) Once again, thank you for your support!
When I watch the snake in motion I think the snake is not moving at all. It is just swimming through energy. Of course this one can spit too.
I wonder if iron has anything to do with this. The soil being red and all, not sure.
It aiming for the eyes is scary. Sometimes when I look into eyes of other things I believe I'm looking directly into a black hole as well. Poor little snake, it's actually scared. It has a black tears in its eyes.
Watching snake move is amazing, the work of their muscles is so smooth! Yes, the soil is red because of iron. Spitting cobras aim for the eyes so they can escape the predator. They are intelligent and very precise with spitting.
Nature is the greatest painter
We agree!
Very beautiful snake. It's beautiful colors are an advertisement to predators and others that it's venomous and can spit it's venom in self defense.
The color is an adaptation to the habitat. Red spitting cobras in some areas with a soil of different color have different coloration.
It's amazing how this beautiful snake nose to hit for the eyes that's incredible
Yes, incredible snakes with amazing behavior!
Is the red colored soil due to iron or to some other element or compound? Thanks for posting.
Yes, it is because of iron. Thank you for watching!
An amazing species
Sure, it is!
Yes another great film, this is a beautiful cobra, please keep the films coming. Do you have any plans of doing a video representing the African rock python in the future?.
Thank you so much!!!! We were looking for pythons in Kenya but did not find any! So far we are not lucky for pythons :D But if we find one in the future we will definitely film it.
I'll stick to milking cows thank you very much. Greetings from Kenya.
It is certainly safer to milk cows!
