The Stick of Truth is really fantastic. Not only does it resemble a really long and really funny South Park episode, but it actually holds up as a game, too.
And it's basically a semi sequel to this trilogy

Im sorry to correct it.. buuut that damn game has so much content and story that if you play the side quest's and everything it fits right into the continuity somewhere as a season in itself!! Plus alot of side stories continue on with the storylines from the game because they wrote it to BE canon.. you kind of have to play both games, but stick of truth has alot that ties directly back into the show and vice-versa
Ontop of all of that the game fucking rules as an RPG! .such fun!!
And while it's big, it's not floppy.

Both are pretty short and SUPER funny.
I agree beisdes the length statement. Well they are maybe shorter compared to 100+ hour JRPG's but if we look all video games genre in general, both games are above average when it comes to the size and both games have a lot of side quests, hidden items, hidden lore...

I love that I can understand the Japanese crossovers in these episodes because of Dash. makes more sense and not having to guess what they are saying.

I love how them replacing half of the japanese with english words really shows how much Japanese Trey Parker knows. Modern Japanese is definitely going that way!

The Stick of Truth is indeed a great game. And the creators had full control over it so it's literally like playing through a season.
It's a small thing but I appreciate the South Park team using real Japanese instead of just making up gibberish.

I forgot to mention this in the other episodes, but the "Stop-Touching-Me-Elmo Doll" was a reference to Kevin Clash, the guy who did Elmo's voice, a known sexual predator.

Stick Of Truth is really great. So much went into it, it's like you're legitimately in an episode of South Park. And the sequel, The Fractured Butt Whole is even better. I highly recommend both.

I did my time for Black Friday. About 15 years ago I took a temp job at my local Wal-Mart. It was ok most days. I lived about ten minutes away and we had a whole hour lunch break, so I’d go home and regroup from the general mayhem of customer service.
Then came Thanksgiving week. I got off at 4 on Thanksgiving and had to be back in for the start of shopping at 5:30 the next day. It was a 24 hour store, but Black Friday deals went into effect at six am.
As I got up to drive to work, I was surprised by all the traffic. It was like rush hour. Then… then I got to the store and I realized… they were all going to Wal-Mart. All of them.
The entire parking lot was full. I had to park on another lot and run in because by this point I was running late.
Literally hundreds of people were lined up with their hands on the pallets, making claims before they were opened. I couldn’t push through the waiting crowds to get to the back of the store to clock in.
I’ve never seen anything like it. Once the time came, people were genuinely shouting and merchandise was flying through the air. I’m not being over dramatic here. They were truly throwing things.
I got pinned between two shopping carts and was screaming, but the shoppers couldn’t back up because of the crowds. I had to wiggle and climb over them.
The scariest moment was when I got shoved down and shoppers kept walking over me. I have a trauma from being trampled in junior high school and I just started shrieking. Luckily, two older ladies stopped the crowd around me and helped me up. I went to the paint counter and sat on the floor by the paint mixer until I had calmed down.
Fortunately, the rush was over after a couple hours. Then the store was just dead. I live in a smallish town, but our store did over a million dollars in sales that day (or so they told us). We had one of the best profits in the state for Black Friday.
I remember a lady came in at one when I was getting ready to leave. She had a coupon and asked us where the tvs that were on sale were. I just stared at her and said, “Those have been gone for HOURS.” She was livid.
The saddest part is, that job topped my list as worst ever for a long time, but now it’s like third on my list. Maybe 4th. I really love this trilogy because it’s just barely even satire.
Greating editing this video loved the mortal kombat sounds.
The Stick of Truth and The Fractured But Whole are the two funniest games ive ever played, they feel like you've just been dropped into the southpark world as an RPG character. definitely watch them if you don't decide to play them yourself.

Both games of Southpark are amazing, really recommended. Stick of Truth and its follow up both are prob one of the best RPGs.
Yeah Nintendo was working with sony to make a disc console but ended up dropping them. A Father and son actually found the prototype of the console and they showed it around, I think they sold it eventually at auction. There's a few videos of it on youtube showing it. Pretty neat.
The ending where he holds up a stick to promote a game is very true to my real life childhood and probably many other kids childhoods, I can’t be the only kid that when their mom said “enough video games go play outside.” Immediately grabbed a stick, toy lightsaber, rc car ect and went outside and re-enacted the game they were just playing like wrestling, Zelda or star wars. “Screw video games, who needs em, now let’s play zelda outside” lol
Both of the south park games are super fun to play.
Well the Stick of Truth is pretty Good and it's not too Bad in Terms of Hardware Requirements because of the Visual Style of the Game pretty much Matching the Style of the Show perfectly.

No lie, I WAS one of the people who DID do the pre-order that these episodes mocked. it took 3 years after I pre-ordered for the game to finally release - coming out well after even this 3 episode special - but it was so worth it to just walk in, grab it and run straight home! and then spend the next 2 weeks non stop playing ❤❤❤😝 I've since gotten copies to any new game system I get I loved it that much 😍
One of my earliest memories is the chaos at a Zayre's (like K-Mart basically) one day when they were having a sale on both Cabbage Patch Kids and Transformers. The line to get inside wrapped around the block and inside it was kill or be killed.

Yeah you definitely should play South Park Stick of Truth is one of my favorite games ever. Definitely a hidden gem, if you like traditional turn based RPG's with a unique South Park story this game is brilliant.

The stick of truth is amazing. I never actually played it. But I let my sons play it who were 14 and 12. At one point I looked at the screen and saw the most disturbing thing I've ever seen that's in the background of a quest that they had to play and I have a feeling it scarred them but I didn't make them stop playing because they gone so far in the game LOL.

Now that you've heard the opening theme to this episode, if you ever started watching Game of Thrones, which you should cuz it is an excellent show for the most part, you will hear that theme in your head every time they play the opening theme for the show.

The Game is amazingly detailed. There is a TON of Love and little details in "Stick of Truth". For a Southpark Fan, I'd argue it's a must play. It's like playing an episode that references every other episode of Southpark.. It's a great Southpark game! Dash Plays? ;)

The scene when the shoppers finally are allowed to enter the mall reminds me of when the Cabbage Patch dolls were first released.
The scene with the Cabbage Patch dolls really happened all over the US.
I was working at K-mart at the time and we had fist fights breaking out in the isles over who got a doll.
I heard in one of the other K-mart stores in Des Moines, Iowa they had a stabbing over the dolls.
There were quite a few people hauled to jail from our store for fighting in the isles.
Think of that, a criminal record over a fucking doll.
People really are stupid.
My Dad ran the receiving and storeroom for our store.
Yeah, he used his position to get a doll. LOL
He had people wanting to buy his doll for quite awhile afterwards.
He said he would never sell just to piss off those stupid assholes.
He said to burn the doll when he died and I did that for him.
There's a very notorious episode of GOT known by fans as the Red Wedding that is completely traumatic. Hence the red Robin wedding

Stick of Truth is great, one of my favorites. You really feel like you're a kid playing pretend with your friends for the first day. Then in typical South Park fashion everything goes nuts, but in a fun way.
Dark comedy provides relief in dark times! Which reminds me, have you seen the episode where trendy shopping and nightlife suddenly surrounds Kenny's family, and claims economic diversity?! I think it was called SoDoSoPa, based on Denver developments. Blew my mind

Unfortunately Sony demanded that they would get a large cut of the profits from the games sold for add on, this lead to Nintendo dropping them at the last minute, and a day after Sony announced the add on, Nintendo revealed their secret partnership with Phillips to make the cd add on, and if you know your history, that lead to the creation of the god awful Phillips CD-i

That's an actual game of South Park called The Stick of Truth, it feels to be in a long good South Park episode. You should really try it out and make a series of it!
