The best part about this trilogy is that it was one massive set up to the South Park game, South Park: Stick of Truth. You should do a play through of the game. It's excellent.

Game of Thrones actually saw this, with Cartman walking through the garden, with everybody else and betraying everybody, and the Game of Thrones actually stopped doing it in their show 😂
They also referanced it early in season 4
12:00 - Cartman's roast on pre-ordering games was an awesome meta reference to how the South Park game Stick of Truth got delayed in development and I think they weren't able to deliver on the date initially promised to pre-orders, that happened just before this episode.

Specially for Dash - in Game of Thrones there's a bunch of medieval noble powers squabbling for power (because they don't appreciate the value of sharing) while they all ignore the real threat which is the massive army of zombies on the other side of the wall who will all invade when Winter comes.
So the Mall security guys are basically the Guards on the Wall, the zombie style shoppers are representing the imminent zombie invasion (which will happen when Black Friday comes), Cartman is doing all the GOT style betraying, Butters is voicing some very valid viewer criticisms about the show's one sided use of nudity (and only ever showing non erect penises etc).

The zombies were definitely a future threat as the series advanced, but as Butters pointed out, the gay weiners were a bigger (no pun intended), more immediate threat... 😂
@@vanhattfield8292 Naw completely overexagerated. But it's still funny. There isn't very many penis shots in this show despite what so many people think. There is 4 in the entire series. 1 is in the first season and is not a gay character. So yeah not accurate at all.
@@HBKCommish Well, this is coming from Butters perspective and from his POV the weiners were definitely a bigger concern. The point of them bringing it up was for a laugh, and as with most comedy, if it is over analyzed the humor is lost, and that is the danger we are now facing with this. 😋

The joke about preordering games was referring to their own game "South Park: The Stick of Truth" was in the begging for preorders phase

Just in case you’re wondering, the whole Stop Touching Me Elmo skit was poking fun at a scandal going on around the same time. Kevin Clash, Elmo’s longest running VA/puppeteer, was accused of assaulting three men several years ago when they were still underage, and he was forced to resign from Sesame Workshop because of it. While I’m not entirely sure if he’s guilty or not, the allegations were eventually dropped in 2014 due to a lack of action on the accusers’ part.
That old man was the best thing out of this episode. He kept it real 😂

In GOT no character is safe from dying just because they are the main character. A lot of characters die. Fan favourites die to so that’s what Randy was referencing with “ everyone really liked you!”
Although “Cartman Sucks” is my favorite episode, the “Kiss my fat Vagina speech is my favorite line in all of South Park. Make me die laughing every single time!
The best part of this trilogy is the old man's garden. For a guy who repeatedly gets trespassed on, he sure does get _really_ invested in it. You'll see what I mean.

Is the toothpaste dispenser the hardest you've laughed on this show? Also, you should do a blind play-through of South Park: The Stick of Truth the video game. There are hidden references to the game (upcoming at the time) in this trilogy!
I love South Park, but have never seen Game of Thrones, my wife doesn't like South Park, but was a big fan of Game of Thrones. I got her to watch this trilogy, and she loved it!
GoT generally was not afraid to kill off characters. That is what shook up every other episode and that shook the whole shaping of the story.
The betrayal in the garden is the best part of this trilogy. Only get better from this episode on.
I'm gonna recommend it - if you can find them online - Episodes titled "200" and "201" - they were banned from TV and they're definitely worth watching

Finding your channel earlier this year has been a bonus for me. It's always fun to see someone watch South Park episodes for the first time and actually get the references. Matt Stone and Trey Parker are kind of genius lol. The bonus part comes with the Japanese qualities. I've brought this up before (not sure if you remember me lol) on how I love the Japanese culture, but I'm curious about how you learned to speak the language. Do you happen to have any advice on which dialect is the easiest to start with? I have some basic language books/dictionaries and guides, but I'm curious about your input. ..also willing to bet we're both Xiaoma fans.

This trilogy was a prelude to the first southpark game (pretty awesome writing in it and decent gameplay)...there is also the coon and friends trilogy that is a prelude to the second south park game which is *CHEF'S KISS

my absolute favorite trilogy by south park, you're sure to laugh. also MGS5 is great. If you like this one you'll love season 6 episode 13 "The Return Of The Fellowship Of The Ring To The Two Towers" it's an unsung gem of an episode.

I remember this came out prior to S4 of GoT and there’s a huge spoiler in one of the next two episodes (I mean the book had been out for 15 years). I was laughing so hard that it spoiled how a character would die, amongst being just a great trilogy.

I'm right now on the PC camp but I do own multiple older consoles and a Nintendo Switch but my main system right now is the PC. I still enjoy retro gaming here and there.
The rant Cartman was giving on how preordering games from “some asshole in California, and all you’ll wind up with is a d*** in your mouth!” Was especially funny…. 🤔 Or insulting because they were making cracks about themselves and the people who preordered the South Park game (the Stick of Truth) like myself. As there were several setbacks causing the game to be released months later than the the originally scheduled release date!

I just want to say I have watched alottttt of reaction channels in the time they’ve been around, and I have to say yours is one of the best examples of how this type of thing can be done well. Anyone my parents age (or even my age) can have trouble wrapping their head around “why would you watch someone watch something” and the millions of reactions where it’s just some doofus staring at their screen with a blank face and not commenting on ANYTHING Bc they aren’t paying attention don’t help the case. There’s always been good ones here and there they just normally aren’t the biggest ones, but I’ve found a few people who actually care about music or movies or whatever they react to. You’re probably the best example for what I’d show my dad or someone his age as a reason these videos can be done well and aren’t inherently bad. This guy pays attention, he puts effort in the editing, he catches references and when he doesn’t understand something he asks people to leave it in the comments so he can learn. Im not gonna lie im a pretty cynical guy especially when it comes to CZcams channels, especially reaction channels it’s very easy for me to find reasons to hate them. But this guy honestly is like impossible to hate, he’s so likeable and it speaks to why I check for his videos every day. I could watch a bunch of people react to South Park but I don’t, even though I’ve seen every episode, Bc traditionally whenever I would see one it would kind of suck and just be someone trying to clickbait and react to a popular thing. They just look at it as shock value and “oh South Park is so savage” and ignore all the commentary
After you finish with this trilogy, there's an episode you absolutely MUST see afterwards, called, "The Magic Bush." It's one of the BEST episodes ever, & it still holds relevance even more so now today than when it debuted. Trust me, you'll LOVE it Dash! Please check it out, I promise you won't regret it😉.

It’s fine if you’ve never seen GOT, I haven’t. It’s almost no different from when films or shows make references or parodies that no one gets. I’ve seen plenty Simpsons Halloween specials that went over my head several times.
I loved this before I watched GOT but after watching it, it’s makes it so much better

Their timing with this release as well cannot be overstated enough, this mini series was like 10/10 there's not a lot of better comedy than this if you remember it all.
Tying the console wars that were peaking at the time (which we didn't see again), to game of thrones (which was all the hottness), to black friday shopping (because of it's release in the calendar year) and the release of their own game. This shit was pure genius from every which way you look at it.
I liked how they make fun of George R Martin for delaying the opening of the mall like how he delays in finishing the Winds Of Winter
Cartman is 100% right about pre-orders.
Fortunately it doesn't matter if you've seen Game of Thrones or not, they touch mostly on the big plot points that you would have most likely absorbed through cultural osmosis.
I didn't start watching GoT until season 7 just ended on TV, and the reason I wasn't there from the start (partly I didn't have HBO), but because of the way Butters describes it. I heard coworkers gush and rant about it so I had some spoilers going in, but since I had no context for the spoilers, it didn't really bother me. I just wish it didn't go downhill as badly as it did.
The Elmo commercial is f*cking great

I tried watching a few episodes, but I just could not get into it. I found the plot way too dialogue heavy, and grim-dark fantasy has never been my thing.

Yeah the wiener joke was poking fun at all the nude scenes in GoT, it WAS HBO after all, got to show boobs as longs as there's violence with it to balance it out.
