The pain on the family’s face brought tears to my eyes. When you returned, their faces lit up like little lanterns! Beautiful family!! I hope things can get better for them, and all of those who are struggling during this dark age of food (and other things)insecurity. Julie Straley... this kind of poverty is “not just current”. This is the kind of poverty where I grew up in. That was DECADES ago. Women and men (including my late parents) just kept on producing children without thinking HOW TO FEED TGEIR CHILDREN, let alone clothe them, and enroll them even only in grade one.
YHAT IS THE CYCLE. I was very young then, but the poverty TRAUMATIZED me, so I did not get married and PRODUCED children.
They made their lives too hard because they kept making children and not realizing that they couldn’t feed them

The fathers face when his children smiled, (lighting up the room).You could see he was disappointed that HE Himself did not achieve giving them the smiles and as a Father/Mother/Parent I could feel and sense his pain and shame ....It seems like this is the first time these beautiful children have Laughed/Smiled and felt GOOD enough to know Some-one cares ....

The fact that there's a lot of people in the city who are more privileged to eat what they want, Get dressed according to their likes and live the life without thinking what to eat the next day, and these poor families living in rural areas makes me saddened knowing that they need to work very hard just to put a food in the table (sometimes they cannot provide:
I'd love to see some follow up story's on some of these families a out 6-12 months after receiving help from Mark and Rhea and the generous donors. Especially the young couple who's daughter (baby Sofia) who had cerebral pulsey. Danica and baby Sofia! This little family really touched my heart and I would love to see how they're doing now.

Denise Mincher- it’s a shame indeed, but that was also my experience when I worked as a housemaid. My employer’s dog was eating better food-beef, actually- , than me. This was a few decades ago. So I decided NOT to produce children because I knew then . That I could not have afforded to feed them. Don’t be fooled by my foreign name. I married out of love, and am now working as a Carpenter’s helper.

Just wondering why it doesn't come to their minds of planting some papayas (and bananas) by themselves, somewhere around their house, so they will stop begging this food from others.
@@kelmanni6103 because most of them are living on their relatives property or their house watching and it's not their land and if they were to Planet further away people would be stealing it so they don't have any other options
@@yankeerose258 their relatives or whoever allowed them to live in their property, are, obviously, people with big hearts for them, otherwise, they could be found living somewhere else. Why don't they give a try to ask permission from them for a little space to plant papaya and few vegetables in their yard, assuring, this favor they are asking, will not cause any problem with them and to their property. If their relatives say no(w/c unlikely they will do it) then at least, they made another effort to find ways to help themselves.
Her reason in getting married is to escape poverty is crazy. How can she escape poverty by marrying a man, with source of income that can't even feed himself alone.. And, she let herself have six children with him, knowing they can't do anything more to feed them. And now she's trying to make anorher escape, by passing her responsibilities of her two kids to her in-laws.

I was wondering if anyone would mention that. I notice she keeps going on and crying about food and there not being enough. I think they don't have enough cause the mom eats way too much from the looks of it theyre all so thin except her.

i' m anita from malaysia... i' m really touch and sad when i saw most of your video... we are malay ... we really look alike... but we are different religion... as a muslim... we have zakat... every muslim who can afford need to contribute 2.5% of our income and our saving in order to help other muslim who are inneed... esspecially to the poor... to the youngsters who want to futher their study... no need for you sir mark to look to other country like canada... malaysia also have free hospital to everybody... free housing...free education... until high school... and cheap fee for college edication around 4000 usd to finish oun degree education.. most women over here have high education... have good life... like me... i finish my study until degree and now i' m a mathematics teacher... you are welcome here... i will show you the real life of malay of malaysia... even though during this pendemic... malaysia goverment gave 500usd to those who need help... for workers... no need for us to pay any debt for 6 moths... the gov spend around 60billion usd to help us during this pendemic... nice knowing you and all your comrades... i hope you will join politics oneday... and change the situation... philiphines leave like malaysian before independant

When 1st watching this video l was happy to hear that Cesar was maning the camera (thank god LOL) and the lady was doing the INTERVIEW... Less than 5 mins in... Cesar Big Fat Mouth came in behind the camara and started to take over, asking stupid questions and preaches to the parents and children which he repeats 3 or 4 times throughout the interview... Mark why oh why don't you shut Cesars mouth or teach him how to interview the families better and to garner more Donor's

I’ve just noticed that, those who are really in deep poverty they have a lot of children.
The mother is very overweight. The eldest is also very healthy, and so I think they are eating well. They should stop stealing food from farms and ask for it. I guess she eats pig slop or there is more to this families story. They were not starving anyway Mark.
Sorry to say...Dont simply judge them like u also living with them.. she overweight and looks healthy but she and her daughter starving, they still dont have food to eat... just put yourself in their shoes..u never know what them feel and been through until u feel it.. please think positive. Tq
I prefer the kids steal food over starving, but getting permission to take a papaya if they need would ofcourse be better. Also beeing overweight often comes from bad nutrition, like drinking coffee with tons of sugar instead of eating propper food.

Thier used 2 this they grew up starving barely eating 8 brothers n sisters n thier lazy they both stay home n look at thier kids hungry but do nothing theres no small children they could both go out n look 4 food plus the mother is fat shes definitely not starving

@Master Opinion we all have to start somewhere right. Even if it feeds a person for a day I’m thankful they got feed that day. We can’t save everyone but if we can help In anyway and feed a family for a couple of weeks by giving them some food and money sits right with me. You start small and if he records it’s okay it’s giving humanity hope and inspiring others like me to do the same. God bless you and have a happy day ☺️

nasa parents ang problema ang bata p nila at malalaki katawan,dapat magsikap sila at magtulungan. ako single parent pero kahit anong legal at marangal n pagkakakitaan ginawa ko wag ko lang makitang nagugutom ang mga anak ko. nakakaawa naman ang mga bata,mabuti nlng may mga mabubuting loob n handang tumulong at napasaya ang mga bata.Godbless
