As we age collagen levels decline. This starts in our mid 20's by the time we reach our mid 30's we start to see the effects of aging. Wrinkles begin to appear and our skin becomes less elastic this only continues as we get older. Studies have shown that taking hydrolyzed collagen peptides in supplement form can be beneficial in reducing these effects and many people have reported positive benefits from doing so.
If you are considering the lemon flavored version of Vital Proteins collagen peptides I hope you find this video helpful.
Enjoy!
Sincerely,
Jared Taylor "JT"

I prefer this lemon one.
Have you tried "Keto Chow"? It contains pure sucrose, as opposed to Splenda,. It has a lot of minerals which help with cramping for me which I always get when doing low-carb. Likewise, it is a decent meal replacement, you have to add your fat to it. I use heavy cream or coconut oil powder (or both), creatine, ice, and collagen I'm getting from DONOTAGE. I blend it, and it makes a thick milkshake that is satisfying. I also tried a salt alternative "Low Salt" and salt with water which helps when I remember it.
Hey Mark, I haven't tried "Keto Chow". Sounds interesting and that milkshake sounds awesome. Thanks for sharing.
I was just given a 26.5 oz jar out of this. I like lemon, but I don't love lemon. LOL I drank mine exactly how you are having yours on the video. I have grass feed beef gelatin powder, but there is no funky after taste to it like this has. It's not that bad though and could easily be covered up by lemon, or like another viewer suggested coconut milk and mango. It reminds me of something you could use to make a lemon cream pie , but since I am watching my waist line, I won't be eating that anytime. Perhaps a low sugar lemon pudding. Anyway, I think it is a great product with good benefits considering it was free.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. I haven't been able to find it recently. Not at Costco anyway. I'm not a big fan of the lemon one but my wife really likes it so, I try to get it for her when I can find it.
I add fresh lemon juice to mine to offset the light smell/taste and it works great for me. And no it do not come with a scoop it’s says 2-4 tablespoons
What a great idea Kim. We're about to order some more. I'll have to try that.
I have a powdered version of a probiotic that I add this collagen to, I just shake it in a blender bottle. My probiotic clumps so it needs to be mixed like this.
Hi Sally, thanks for sharing. It sounds like that works pretty well for you. I'm sure it's far better than mixing with a straw like I did here.
My favorite one ❤ love it as a hot tea and I can tell a difference after a week
This is my wife's favorite one too.
I tried the vanilla flavor and find it distasteful and I usually love vanilla.
Costco has this variety for a good price. Haven't tried it yet. What's the problem with maltodextrin?
Hey Mark, maltodextrin is a synthetic sugar that will significantly spike insulin. That's not good if you're doing keto or just trying to keep blood sugars low. Exposure to low doses in of maltodextrin over time has also been shown to cause intestinal inflammation.
I blend it with coconutMilk and frozen bananas.
Hi Maria, that sounds great! Not "keto" so to speak (if anyone is wondering) but you're not worried about that then it doesn't matter. Sounds delicious!
What i think i would do with the lemon is put it in a blender with coconutMilk and frozen mango and extra lemons
Oooo that sounds yummy!
That sounds good. Maybe make a Gelatin dessert out of it.
Is this product lemon flavour kosher?
Great question. I'm not sure.
