- About Vantastic: We are a happy couple who got rid of everything to travel the world. We make vlogs sharing our daily lives in a camper van, our ups and downs, and our adventures around Europe.
What camera equipment do you use?
We use GoPro10, Røde VideoMicro with a dead kitten, Ulanzi tripod mt-16, Ulanzi cage G9, Ulanzi vl49 light, DJ Mavic Pro drone and Adobe Premiere Pro to edit the vlogs. Our electrical power set-up in our camper van allows charging our camera and laptops to film and edit.
What is your van?
Our camper van is Fiat Ducato 2015, Adria Twin conversion panel van. We have done only minor upgrades and mods to our camper van, we pretty much love it as it is.
How do you afford your nomadic lifestyle?
We live on a true shoestring budget. We travel economically, we cook all our meals, we dont visit tourist traps, we enjoy being in the nature and hiking in the nature. We worked traditional office jobs for years and now we live on our savings and investments. We dont believe you need tons of money to to pursue your passion. However, we have learned that you do need to sacrifice comfort, consistency and safety, but that it is possible, very worth it, and the only lifestyle that makes us truly happy!

The snake you are calling a viper is commonly known as an adder and the larger, harmless one that likes to live near water is a grass snake. They are both great for preventing mice and other pests making their home in your sauna. That whole arrangement looks so good. We will take a summer trip to Finland in our ancient camper van one day. Thanks so much for the info. We did not know what our only snake species are named in English language. They are commonly called "Kyy" and just "Not Kyy" in our own language. They are both protected species, all lizards and amphilliants are in north. Thanks for watching!

Ah, it is so nice to be home - and to have nothing but time. Today I make potato, carrot stew (with chicken bones) in the solar oven.
Solar oven sounds amazing. It is great to have extra time in your every day life. People generally are too busy.

Just google Räkkä on CZcams, Räkkä-season starts end of june and you will know how much of them are there! Its alot!
You should be quite fast with campervan rentals, summer is short in Finland so almost all rentals are booked.

Loving your videos and ever. Please could you give me some advice - I will be crossing from Norway in my camper, around Narvik area, into Finland and heading down to Helsinki and on to Tallin. Is it more scenic via the coast road via Vaasa and Turku, or better inland via say Tampere or Jyväskylä? Whichever you suggest, could you kindly list a few towns worth visiting or driving by ... so I can make a route to follow? That would be so much appreciated!

Avoid west Finland, its just fields and you dont see the sea.
Savonlinna, Porvoo, Kuopio, Imatra (Imatra rapids), theres couple of good towns to visit.

Hei. Ei liity tähän videoon, mutta jossakin videossa teillä näkyi olevan auton ulkopuolella joku antenni nettiyhteyden parantamista varten. Miten se käytännössä toimii, eli mitä osia siihen vaaditaan, tarviiko sähköä, tuoko sisälle saman nopeuden kuin ulkona jne? Saa linkata mikä laite se on. Minulla kotona on sisällä hidas netti, mutta ulkona nopea, joten ehkä samanlainen systeemi toimisi minulla.
Meillä oli normaali 4G modeemi ulkona, tällöin saa huomattavasti paremman yhteyden. 99% tapauksissa se toimii 12 voltilla kunhan muokkaa johtoa.
