    When determining if a Jeep is a RH drive or not, look at the windshield wipers and how they flow. The flat edge for a RH will be to the right side of the car, and of course the opposite for LH drive. It is so it clears the most for the driver. That white one from Africa was RH drive. : )

    The length of the hood is the same in relation to the gap to charging port and offset with the fender positioning. The pic is taken at an angle that makes ppl curious. Its impossible to fit the larger (I6) hurricane into the current gen both length wise and the height wise (need a larger scoop than 392). BTW, the existing 2.0 turbo is also a hurricane engine (same family) so the more plausible thing is that they came up with some minor bump in spec/tuning to the existing 4xe to make it purr out 500 lb ft of torque instead of 470 - and release is as minor update for 2025 refresh

    I checked out a 392 at a local dealer, and up here in Canada 135 grand!! I was actually checking into a Rubicon X ... They had the exact! one that I "built and Priced" on the Jeep website, 85 GRAND! So i can't imagine what this 392 Final Edition would cost up here. Thinking I'll stick to my thought of "Paid off sounds way better then Brand New." ... That said! I want a Hurricane Motor! I want to put it in my XJ! But I can do without the turbos... I know nothing of Turbos. So how would they do in dusty environments? But if Jeep brought back the XJ Styling and put a Hurricane in it... Maybe I wouldn't mind new! ... Probably not, once I walked up and saw the price. But something (a design) with a proper Jeep grille. Anything that isn't a Wrangler has an Ugly grille.... I personally like the new grille on the wranglers. But XJ Styling (design), a Hurricane, OOOOH YAAAA! ... Jeep Recon!? Getting there, still the ugly grille and sorry I want a petrol engine.

    Toyota 4runner.
    I would like to get a jeep but I'm worried about the many reliability issues with jeep.
    I hope this new power plant is a step in the right direction to sorting out the many reliability problems jeeps have.

    That engine would be perfect in the Gladiator. It needs more power. Thanks for all the great videos. Will

    I am SO hoping they bring the 3.0 I-6 into the JL. I can't quite swing a 392 so the only other engine that would make me move out of our diesel would be that I-6.

    I’m still in Moab and have seen 2 or 3 Wranglers with different iterations of “Hurricane” on the hood. Not sure it means anything, yet. The corporate Jeep guys have been tight-lipped, but they didn’t deny either the Hurricane or some version of the 4xe coming in the Gladiator. Everytime someone else does something interesting (e.g., Ranger Raptor), they seem willing to fight back. The clearly know they have to take the Gladiator up a notch if they want to continue selling them. I thought it was interesting that you can now get Accuair on a Jeep with a factory warranty. Lots of interesting concepts around. Inflation has killed Jeep pricing, but let’s hope they at least keep them interesting if they’re going to be so expensive. For all the anti-EV folks, I ran 4 trails (including Hells Revenge today) in my Wrangler 4xe and it as flawless. The belly weight is noticeable, but battery-only climbing is excellent. There were several other 4xes out there that i saw. All the folks driving them were happy (those I spoke with, obviously) and didn’t seem to have any different a Moab experience for being in an PHEV than anyone else. Several folks I spoke to on the trails were actually ready to put down money on a Gladiator with the new Ramcharger powertrain. I think if Jeep does something like that, they will have a winner.

    Wish they’d have an option to strip it to just Bluetooth and radio, cheap basic stuff and not the 60 inch TV for entertainment in the rubicon

    It is going to be tough for auto manufacturers to meet the mandated fed ZEV rules, so Jeep has to make changes sooner than later. I would rather have a PHEV then a BEV. Hopefully, the Gladiator 4xe will come out one of these days and it will be well done.

    Though the 3.0 I6 hurricane would be bad ass, it’s 1 inch longer than the 392 (which would explain the longer Hood theory, if it actually is)… The 2.0 four-cylinder is also called the hurricane, so I wonder if it’s tuned and combined 500 hp four-cylinder ?

    • @KJsProjects
      @KJsProjects Před 3 měsíci +1

      I'm thinking they upped the HP on the 2.0 with the 4XE to make 500hp. The 3.0 Hurricane would be cool, but a 5.7 Hemi would be better.

  • @joeydelgado6119

    Picture this: a non-turbo Hurricane bored out from 3.0 to 4.0. Should be good for at least 300hp and at least 300lb-ft of low RPM torque, and way more reliable/less complicated than the Hurricane. Call it the Storm. Remember when Jeep offered a nearly bulletproof inline 4.0L? Good times.
