Honey Browned Butter Sauce:
1/2 stick of unsalted Butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup honey
1Tbsp. Vanilla Extract

Oh, and I just found out you can freeze sweetened condensed milk in ice cube trays. That way you don't have to pop open a can and throw out any of that liquid gold!

I think you mean alter it. If you use two boxes of jiffy mix try it with three eggs it makes a huge difference.

Growing up, my uncle would always make peanut butter cornbread with chocolate chips or chopped up Halloween candy. For a long time, I didnt know cornbread was a more savory type food. Today, I made some of my peanut butter cornbread but made the browned butter glaze from this video, and it was amazing. Never had something quite like this. I took the caramel really dark, and the cast iron took it darker. Turned out exactly how I wanted it. I was worried about burning the sugar or milk solids, but I didn't. I really like the contrast of the molasses in the brown sugar and the sweet complex flavor of the honey. I used whole milk because we don't have cream, but ill be sure to try that next time, although I think the peanut butter might do what the cream was doing in your cornbread. Either way, it turned out really good.
